Something of that nature because i would like Laroy Reynolds as a backer instead of George for special team purposes. Keep Thomas as backup MLB. Ex. Wrs Robinson, Hurns, Lee, Blackmon/Free agent, Doss OTTO, Washington, Reynolds MLB, POZ, Thomas Will, Smith, Hayes 5 Wrs would include a healthy Doss as a KR because you took Todman off the list. Stigma, how would you compare Harvard's Zach Hodges and TCU's Dawson? I've had a chance to watch two of Hodges' games and he really looks like a player to me.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
I have not really had any opportunity to watch Zach Hodges of Harvard. I guess we see how he stacks up at the Senior Bowl practices. Right now he appears to be a Rd 4 draft choice, where Paul Dawson has come out of nowhere to become an early Rd 2 draft choice.

Read some REALLY disturbing things about Dawson that MAKES me worry about him being on A roster. An excerpt from the NFL.com Draft Prospect page is shown BELOW: <p style="margin-left:40px;">"...Sources Tell Us <p style="margin-left:40px;">'He's an early round player without any question, but you don't have to dig around very deep or very long to realize that his personal character is going to be a major issue for some teams. I have not seen anything regarding Paul Dawson to substantiate the comment made by the above referenced scout. Everything I have read suggests that Paul Dawson just could be the No. 1 LB prospect in this draft that is not a pass rusher. Having only started for TCU for 2 years, he may not have the experience and he is bit undersized but he should run in the 4.5's or low 4.6's and that is fast for a LB.
I will stick with my endorsement of Paul Dawson in Rd 2 for the foreseeable future.
I was listening to 1010XL on the radio this morning and they had an ESPN Writer Matt Williamson on as a guest. Williamson is a former scout for the Browns. Anyway, they were talking about potential Free Agents for the Jags among the WR and TE class and the two names that came as good fits for the Jags were
Michael Crabtree - WR - 49ers - 6'1" 214 lbs - 28 Yrs old (in 2015 season) and Charles Clay - TE - Dolphins Williamson suggested that the Jags would most likely have to overpay to get free agents much like the Raiders, but that Crabtree working over the middle of the field out of the slot would work well with the rest of the Jags young talent on the outside. Here is what Michael Crabtree has done the past four seasons: 2014 - 68 Rec - 698 Yds - 4 TDs 2013 - 19 Rec - 284 Yds - 1 TD 2012 - 85 Rec - 1105 Yds - 9 TDs 2011 - 72 Rec - 874 Yds - 4 TDs This resume will not command BIG MONEY but compare what Michael Crabtree has done to what Eddie Royal of the Chargers Eddie Royal 2014 - 62 Rec - 778 Yds - 7 TDs 2013 - 47 Rec - 631 Yds - 8 TDs 2012- 23 Rec - 234 Yds - 1 TD 2011 - 19 Rec - 155 Yds - 1 TD Both are slot WRs. Both should command around 4.5 Mil/Yr Comparing the two - I like Michael Crabtree Williamson talked about Jordan Cameron and Charles Clay. He felt that Clay would become Bortles favorite target because of what he does. Williamson worried about the concussion history of Jordan Cameron but if that was fine then Cameron would be a Big Talent for the Jags to sign. He thought that Julius Thomas of the Broncos would not be the same player without Peyton Manning. In the end, I got the impression that Charles Clay - TE - Dolphins might be the better signee over Cameron in Free Agency.
There is a lot of talk that the Titans may pass on a QB and take Leonard Williams with the 2nd Pick. In this mock draft, I am assuming that the Bucs take Winston with the 1st Pick, leaving Mariota available with the 3rd Pick.
Accordingly, the Jags make the trade with the Rams that the Titans pass on, that being: Picks 10, 41 ands 72 (Rds 1,2 and 3 picks) for Pick 3 and the right to draft their Franchise QB. Mock Draft: Rd 1(10): Ereck Flowers - ORT - Miami - 6'5" 324 Lbs Flowers is big and nasty just what the Jags need for their ORT. Flowers could handle the OLT position if necessary and that is an important factor in this selection. So with this move the Jags line gets younger, but more talented. Rd 2(36): Paul Dawson - ILB - TCU - 6'2" 230 Lbs I remain very high on Paul Dawson as the No. 2 LB in this draft class that is not a pass rusher. I envision he plays in 3rd down and long pass defense packages and eventually he replaces Poz. I see him as a very active MLB and I take him over both Erik Kendricks of UCLA and Denzel Perryman of Miami, although I would be happy with either of these players if selected. Rd 2(41): Duke Johnson - RB - Miami - 5'9" 206 Lbs I believe when the dust settles, Johnson will become the Jags version of LeSean McCoy. Rd 3(67) Chris Hackett - FS - TCU - 6'2" 195 Lbs I really like Hackett over Anthony Harris as the FS Centerfielder that I start as a rookie - 75 TT - 7 Ints Rd 3(72) Max Valles - OLB (Otto LB) - Virginia- 6'5" 240 Lbs Tall and lean DE/OLB who recorded 55 TT and 9 sacks for Virginia. He will need some time but the talent is there. Rd 4(104): Erick Dragan - SS - Oregon - 5'11" 212 Lbs I like the idea of pairing Hackett and Dragan (93 TT and 7 Ints) as the two deep Safeties and then allowing Cyprien to pair with Dawson and Smith as the LB grouping. Rd 5(145): B.J. Finney - C - Kansas State - 6'4" 303 Lbs Depth at the Center position Rd 6(184): Xavier Williams - DT - Northern Iowa - 6'3" 309 Depth at the 3 Tech DT spot - 93 TT and 8 Sacks as a Sr. Rd 7(221): MyCole Pruitt - TE - Southern Illinois - 6'2" 255 Lbs Developmental H-Back/TE Previously in Free Agency: 1. Jason Pierre Paul - Leo DE - Giants - 14 Mil/Yr 2. Charles Clay - TE - Dolphins - 6 Mil/Yr 3. Akeem Ayers - Otto LB - Patriots - 4 Mil/Yr 4. Perrish Cox - CB - 49ers - 5 Mil/Yr 5. Michael Crabtree - Slot WR - 49ers - 6 Mil/Yr

In this mock draft, I am assuming that the Bucs take Winston with the 1st Pick, leaving Mariota available with the 3rd Pick. I think that would be a terrible trade for the jags. Just my 2 cents. I think trading down is fine and all, but we really need an impact player at the top of round 1 for a change and flowers just isn't that guy IMO.

Superville,
In my scenario, Leonard Williams is gone and to be honest with you what is left is just not TOP LINE. I think you will find Randy Gregory, Shane Ray, Dante Fowler, Vic Beasley, Brandon Scherff, Landon Collins all a bit OVERRATED when it comes to value. They all have their downsides and unless we are going to take another WR, that leaves out Amari Cooper. You might rate these players as PREMIUM but I don't think one of them is worth an extra 2nd and 3rd draft choice. The Rams could be cutting Sam Bradford and thus may be willing to make this trade, otherwise the Jags are going to be stuck taking Randy Gregory who could turn into a pretty good player but he is not that player right now. The only true hope the Jags have is that the Rams, or Bears or even the Eagles might offer some kind of package similar to their Top 3 picks to the Titans who need the picks to rebuild their roster.. The Eagles might even throw in a 2016 Rd 1 pick. Anyway, that is how I see this draft. Not great at the top, but pretty deep through Rd 3. As far as Ereck Flowers, he is a fast riser and mostly likely will be a Top 15 Pick. I like him over Scherff, Peat and Clemmings to man the ORT position. He is BIG and MEAN and NASTY and could be a major player in the running game. I also believe that he might actually be a better OLT than Joeckel.
Minorcan,
To be brutally honest, the Jags have not yet completed their roster rebuild and thus taking a flyer on a backup QB to me is a waste of a draft choice. As far as Sean Mannion, he is a JAG (Just A Guy) to me and I am not sure he will even get drafted. Quote:Minorcan, I'll never be confused for a draftnic that's for sure! Bulaga Moore Clay Crabtree Hairston Draft: Rd.1 - Leonard Rd.2 - Mckinney Rd.3 - Best available rb rd. 4 best available DE or MLB
Mayock, fwiw, commented on USC cb Josh Shaw from the Shrine game. Pointed out that he looks like a good press corner. Could this be a Bradley guy? Fits the mold
