How about 3 defensive lineman, a former prow bowler in Beadles, and an emphasis on offensive weapons in the draft. Did that not sound like some competitive moves when they happened?

I agree but the thing that scares me was what Gus said during the interview today. He said part of the problem with the blitzes was WRs running the wrong depth to get the ball out quick. They might need some more seasoning before Bortles comes in.

I could see that but the whole game? I'd that's the case we must have one of two things or a combo of both. Really dumb WR'S or a poor coaching staff. That should be seen and adjusted mid-game.

Your original question asked about being competitive, not about adding 3 more wins. Losing 41-10 to a team that went 3-13 last year (and didn't have their 1st round pick) is about as far from competitive as a team can get.

the team would suck again because there wasn't a credible effort to make improvements? If that's what you truly believe (I know that's not the case) then you should be furious at the people making personnel decisions, since you're not taking that stance, your whole argument isn't credible.
