Could a loss today start to make the seat a little warm for Gus Bradley?

You don't put a time limit on a coach. You fire him when it's obvious a mistake was made hiring him.

There's no point in firing Gus mid-season. If we're winless, 1-15, or 2-14, then I'd think Khan should consider finding a new head coach. But firing Bradley mid-season would end badly.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

If he doesn't get a win before the bye I'd say hit the road Gus. It REALLY concerns me he doesn't think wins matter, it's about the process and the wins will come.

Alan Ball made a statement about the team everyone wanting that 1st win, Gus then had a meeting and told them not to focus on the 1st win to focus on the process and getting better then the wins will come. Quote:What I wonder is will Bradley be willing to give his old buddy Babich the axe at the end of the seasonDo it now and I doubt we see a problem. He never should have been brought in to begin with. One of Bradley'Bradley's downfalls has been his coordinator choices.

Quote:Do it now and I doubt we see a problem. That's one reason why I think Gus's seat should warm up. It'll motivate him into making changes. Maybe he didn't hire Bob Babich because he was his buddy. If that's the case, I'm far more concerned than if he DID hire him because he's his buddy, because Blahbich just does't look qualified.

The reason you fire a coach mid season is to get a jump on the other teams who will be searching for their new coach in the off season.

Shad Khan isn't a dumb man and I have faith in him to do whatever he thinks needs to be done.

Lol do you really believe he is holding back and not doing everything he can do to win? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Bradley will be our coach next year. I don't know. I think less than 3 wins, and the decision makers will have to start questioning him. If Weaver still owned the team, then I'd say Gus would be safe. (Or rather, I'd probably be saying Mularkey will be safe for another year)

What has he shown exactly that makes you think he should be safe? Quote:Only time will tell. How about an avatar bet! I've been throwing those out there but no takers... What are the terms?

I think you are completely missing Bradley's point. All you can do is work on your craft and get better. If you do that then good things eventually will happen. It is a process. Of course he wants to win and of course wins matter... never mind, probably pointless to explain to you. Quote:He's not holding back, but I DO think that he could do more. What has he shown exactly that makes you think he should be safe? I just don't see him being fired this year. Terms are if he is fired I'll put whatever you want in my avatar for 30 days. If he's not then you do the same. |
