That means other people should not make it hard. I will try my best but can't do it alone.

Gil Brandt listed Tony Boselli in the "Best chance to make it in 2017" category.

Tony Boselli, offensive tackle

Jacksonville Jaguars, 1995-2001; Houston Texans, 2002

The second overall pick in the 1995 NFL Draft allowed 15.5 sacks over seven years in Jacksonville -- that translates to fewer sacks allowed per play than Hall of Famers Orlando Pace, Randall McDaniel, Gary Zimmerman and Willie Roaf. Boselli was named to five Pro Bowls and was part of a Jaguarsteam that went to the playoffs in four of its first five years of existence, with two of those trips ending in the AFC title game.

I’m a big, big, big supporter of Tony Boselli. To me, it’s not about longevity. It’s about greatness. It is the Hall of Fame; it’s not the Hall of Longevity. He achieved true greatness at the position and he was true dominant left tackle of his era. He started more games than [Mike] Ditka. He started more games than Dwight Stephenson. He started more games than Gale Sayers. All of them in the Hall of Fame. We didn’t talk about longevity with them. We talked about greatness, and I think Tony Boselli achieved greatness. … He never got help [in pass protection]. He never gave up more than one sack a game. When you have a consistent level of greatness … and you have a coach like Tom Coughlin – who’s harder on anybody than any coach – and he says, “no. 71 is my guy here … we don’t have to worry about sacks.’ That’s pretty high praise. He has my vote without a doubt.”

It will be interesting to see how many other votes agree with SP.

I think one way to judge a LT is by looking at how they performed against the best. How many times did we see Boselli against the Bruce Smiths and the Jason Taylors and see him dominate them? I remember that Dolphins game on Monday night, he made Jason Taylor look like a high schooler.

Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.

It's supposed to be announced tonight but I'm not seeing anything specifically saying "HOF Announcement" or what time. I would imagine NFL Network will show it.

The sixth annual NFL Honors ceremony is 8:00 on Fox

I don't know when they announce the HOF class, but remember they are never the first to get their awards.

That is one of those things you can't see on a stat sheet.

Man, what if Tony Boselli could have played in the playoff game against Miami?

In 96 he destroyed smith. Granted smith was older. But had zero sacks on brunell.
