Who will be the surprise 'faller' this year?

(This post was last modified: 02-08-2014, 03:53 PM by GreeceMonkE.)

Also as far as the Kentucky game in question. I am not seeing pressure nearly every snap....but I am seeing a lot of bad throws and reads......

I know it happens, but that performance was on him....not his team. And even if that was the case, what do you think will happen if he is drafted #3 by us. You really think he is going to have ideal pass protection on every play in the NFL.

Here is the link to the Kentucky tape though: http://draftbreakdown.com/video/teddy-br...ucky-2013/

Call me what you want, but im just telling that bridgwater is the only qb with a first round grade on dave and gus's board

I told you ask vino, and he is no bridgewater fan
Wait a second. First you says you know for a fact. Then you say you have reason to believe, and now you know for a fact again?

ON TOPIC:

I agree that Barr is a likely candidate to fall.

Also - the tight ends after Amaro and Ebron seem to be in some nebulous cloud that I can't quite nail down.  The 3rd - 10th TE prospects on various big boards are all over the place.  I imagine a couple of those projected in the second may fall if their 40 times creep up at the combine.

(Jenkins - Fiedorowicz ?sp - Niklas - Lynch - Gillmore etc)

Yeah TE is all over the place for a lot of people, I have been studying TE lately I might post my rankings and a brief breakdown on each of them in a post soon. I think I have my top 6 pretty set, at least until we get more solid numbers on them from the combine then there may be some small changes.

The actual game was nowhere near as bad as what you think, there were 2 at max three missed reads and he made all the throws except on the deep routes

It looked worse against Uconn....

Its fine though enough has been said about these 2 ....and they both have potential to fall.

Another candidate I would throw in the mix is that Dennard might not be the first CB taken. I definitely feel he should be, but with Seattle winning and the tall CBs being all the rage right now, he might fall because of that.

Yeah Dennard will be interesting. He is my top CB too I grade him top 10-12, but I see a lot of people who like Gilbert more too. Dennard isn't as tall as those Seahawks dudes, but he is the most physical CB I have ever watched on the jam. I think being just under 6' but with his strength, jam, and bump and run skills he will actually be seen as a good fit for the Seahawks mold DB. I think it will come down to how fast he runs, unfortunately.

I am also interested in seeing if MLB or RB will go in the 1st round. This is a year where we could possibly see both positions not being selected in the 1st round. I think Mosley is a great MLB prospect, but I just don't feel some of the teams drafting later will feel the need to take him in the 1st round.

Mosely falling out of the 1st would surprise me a lot actually. When Sean Lee and Luke Kuechly comps are rightfully coming out, and in a year when a mike LB won the DPOY...I think his stock is very high.

I do agree that there will be no 1st round RB this year, not that it's a very bold call in this day and age though.

The reason I see Mosely possibly falling is because unlike Kuechly the perception is that he isn't the Alabama defense, and their defense wasn't great this year. When Kuechly was playing that was his defense, and probably his team.....

I think the same thing happened to Sean Lee. I was really big on him the year he declared but he fell to the 2nd round....I think the same could happen to Mosely, but I don't think it should happen from a talent standpoint. He is like my 8th highest rated player this year. I just don't know who takes him 1st round. I can't see it yet.

And people wonder why threads turn south so quickly on here.

Quote:Ok I'm sorry, please just close this thread if possible. I intended to have one thread that could be about comparing the non Teddy/JFF/Clowney but Wiseman and the Manzealots just won't allow that.

It's become personal with some people. Hell, you could start a "MaryAnn or Ginger" thread (Gilligan's Island for you little crumb crunchers) and it would turn into a Bridgewater v Manziel v Clowney thread. I'm thinking of starting a thread entitled "Manziel or Bridgewater? Who is better?" thread. I'll just grab a bag of popcorn and sit back and watch the fireworks. Beats the Leave It to Beaver reruns.

Thread would hit 100 pages by draft time

I thought I killed that thread idea though...

At least for what Gus and Dave think

That would be more fun than Michael Vick throwing in all of his pit bulls in the ring at one time.
