Jeff Fisher fired...should the Jags be interested?

Quote:How is it like living in New Mexico, all I can think of is desert when I try to conjure up images. Yeah, it's a desert all right. I live in Albuquerque and we live right next to what's called the Sandia Mountain range. It's actually quite lovely, once you get used to it. Open spaces and views for miles and miles, which makes for amazing sunsets. It's different than Jacksonville in the sense that there's so much open spaces. There are no tree lines that obstruct views. Both places have thier own type of beauty.

What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Quote:LOL...meaning laugh out loud. That should be helpful enough. Oh I did not know they were the same thing.
He is absolutely not my first choice, but I really don't get all the talk that we're too good to have Jeff Fisher as our coach. I also don't get the hurt feelings of him beating us in the 90's as a reason not to hire him.......shouldn't his relative success at Tennessee, then a fairly crummy franchise, be a plus? Also, I don't put too much stock in his poor record with the Rams, which has perhaps the worst ownership in the NFL, certainly one of the worst. Kroenke wasn't going to do anything to help Fisher win in St. Louis at the same time they were trying to position themselves with the NFL to relocate away from St. Louis.
Anyway, to be clear, he's certainly not my first choice, but we could do far worse. He's obviously a massive upgrade (granted, who wouldn't be?) and, if nothing else, would instill some discipline and toughness into our team. We show less advertisements to registered users. I'd take him as defensive coordinator in a heart beat.
As a head coach? He would have to bring in a proven high profile OC, because Fishers teams just haven't been able to get it done on the offensive side of the ball.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

His career win % is 72nd out of 98 coaches in NFL history with 50 or more wins.
NO!
Jeff Fisher would atleast get us 7-9. After that, we would have to fire him.
Regardless, no.... we can do better than pornstache fisher

Quote:Fisher does know how to win football games in our stadium... but not many others. There is a reason he had only 6 winning seasons in 22 years. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I read all 7 pages and still don't understand why some people want Jeff Fisher.
No thanks. He's been mediocre for over a decade now. He'd be slight upgrade over Bradley. So instead of winning 2 - 5 games per year we'd get stuck in the 5 - 7 games won per year group.

IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Quote:He's not doing that 7-9 [BAD WORD REMOVED] again Because he is unemployed. Quote:I would stop watching this team immediately if they hired Jeff Fisher as a ticket taker, much less head coach. If they even interview Fisher I'd have to question my loyalty to the team moving forward and would probably not be a mod thereafter.
