Shad Khan confirms what everyone knew, we'll be drafting a QB (maybe 2) in this years draft

Gabbert will win the starting job inthe preseason.  He's going to pull a 180.  He's matured. The fear in the pocket is gone. He will be a Tom Brady with a much stronger arm.  Breakout season, 4,000+ yards, 40+ TD passes, 68% completion.

This part of the post isn't horribly unthinkable.  He did it last year.  He looked good in that Jets preseason game.

89% completion - 13-16 for 165 yards and a TD before getting hurt.  He had many of us hoping against all odds for a second there..... until the reg. season started.  Then it was a very different story.   I'm sure this dichotomy will not be lost on Bradley and his staff.

I imagine it'll take a consistently very high level of play and practice for him to even be considered for starting against a rookie coming in. If it's Henne then who knows.

Unlikely but would love to see this happen

So they're going to make a new rule -- no touching the QB or getting within 5 feet of him?

and you think they'll enforce this with our QB?

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

You must be a Lacrosse fan. You sure as heck know nothing about football.

Failure is not an option. 2nd place = 1st loser.

I am saying if Clowney is on the board at #3 the Jaguars will draft him, but should they trade up to get him is the question?

Clowney would be the most shocking pick. I don't believe he has the 'juice'. Outside of his traffic violation, I've never heard that he has a high motor

I'd pass on trading up. Love to see them draft Clowney, but if he's gone we can still get a QB. Trade back during the 2nd round.

I would love for Caldwell to draft Clowney. Then I would spend the rest of the week fretting that Clowney will lack the motivation it takes to succeed at the NFL level. I guess that is the way it works for all players that get drafted, but when motivation is a question mark to begin with there is an added element of concern. I think this draft is going to be huge for us, and Clowney being a rare talent I hope we can get him, and fear we will get him at the same time.

Kentucky football fans say that about their football program every year, and every year they're wrong. If it walks, talks, and acts like a turd, it's a turd, and Gabbert is a huge turd.

QBs in the NFL seldom go from awful to great. Even when a young kid plays bad statistically you can see that he has it, that he can get there. I don't see any of that in Gabbert, and after 4 years, he is the same guy now as he was when he came in.

It was like watching Brian Brohm play for the Packers, it was obvious right from the start that he wasn't ready. Year 2, same story, and at that point you just knew he was never going to get it.
