A statement like this doesn't make me feel good about the team staying put in Jacksonville. If they can make million(s) from one game, from a financial standpoint why wouldn't Khan want to make million(s) from 10 games? I'm pretty sure that number is double and maybe triple that of what he would make stateside considering our average attendance and the monetary value of the pound vs the dollar.

Based on how the lease is structured, turning a profit, regardless of how its derived, eliminates one of the key components in breaking it. They have to show a financial loss for 3 consecutive years.


The league won't let a franchise move if breaking a lease is required and there's not good cause otherwise. The team cant claim the city isn't maintaining the facility, especially after they finish major renovations next year.


We won't even discuss the tax advantage here in the states vs. the income derived in England.


Not making enough profit isn't grounds to break the lease.

Bilicheck is not a GM. Since he's become the defacto GM he's not had the success the team had earlier.

This reminds me of when I was young and I went to the skating rink  - they would say "if you can't skate don't come onto the floor" and I always thought - if I can't come onto the floor how am I going to learn how to skate?

Agreed. However, like a cop who wants to pull over a driver for a secondary violation, he'll find an excuse to pull that guy over. In other words, he may not use that as an excuse, but as we all know, there are ways around it.

IF, there was a scenario wereas they could move to London, I'm sure Goodell will help, bend, twist, ignore or revamp the rules.

No way it happens soon, but to ignore it would ne naive.

I don't think it will happen within a couple years, but to think it'll never happen, doesn't know the NFL, it's owners and their commissioner puppet.

As we've all sai a million times...put out a winning product, and they will come. Remain with the status quo, and within a few years, we could conceivably see " Mayflower Freighters" docked at Tallyrand.
