Marrone says he won't fire Wash

Pats roster just isn't very good right now between the opt outs, injuries, and no Brady and Gronk. They had the best D in the league last year which helped a ton. BB has to start drafing better if they want to turn it around

That is some serious throwin poo at the wall stuff there.

Also, have we seen how bad NE since losing Brady? Maybe Belichick isn't quite as good as we thought. He's made some very questionable personnel moves over the years that Brady has compensated for.

*Not saying Belichick isn't a good coach, he is. But seeing NE without Brady makes me have some reservations about him

The entire "Belichick is a genius" bit has made me laugh for years. Genius coaches don't get swept by an expansion team. He also was 5-13 with the Patriots, and on a very hot seat, before the Jets inexplicably hurt Bledsoe. The Brady/Belichick duo is the perfect exemplification of players being far more important than coaches. I'm actually surprised he didn't retire after Brady left, to keep that genius myth alive. And like you said, he is a good coach. But can we stop with story that he's some genius QB whisperer?

Yeah, it was all Brady. BB is just a slightly above average coach.

It is weird though that:

Manning has only 2 SB and he was awful in one
Wilson has 1
Rodgers has 1
Brees 1
Rivers 0
Big Ben 2

I guess Brady it is the GOAT since he has 6 all by himself lol

Not true.

Maybe Brady is more valuable than Belichick. However, the dynasty was only able to function because of the combination of the 2.

You can’t win consistently in the NFL without a good QB. Brady is the only good QB Belichick has ever had. No one piece can work as well as 2 put together.

You’re saying Brady would have won 6 Super Bowls with the Steelers? The Colts? The Ravens? No way. Situational coaching, discipline, and roster management (And some biased officiating) went a long way in those titles that New England won, combine that with Brady’s ability and there’s your answer. It was both of them, not just one or the other.

It was sarcasm  Rolleyes

It's obvious BB was more important than Brady. Anyway, you are right, you need both to win a SB (or one and a great defense), let alone multiple SBs.

How is it obvious?  How many championships did he win prior to Brady?  Hell, he had one winning record prior to Brady.

It's odd that half of our Defense is a single high safety but the team almost never blitzed until the last game. I saw after 2 weeks this team is not good enough to only rush with 4. It took the front office and coaches half the season to figure it out. Ray Charles could see it. It is not wonder why this team gets beat often. We are leaving our Corners on an island who is a rookie and herdon who is 3rd string on most teams.

Pretty much what I was thinking. What's the extra guy doing? They're last in pass coverage so not much it seems.
