Andrew Luck is highly overrated
|
They just said he's been playing with multiple fractured ribs for a couple weeks on Fox but it's just the excuse train rolling.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

lol these dudes will do anything to make excuses for this bum

<p style="text-align:center;">But that same man can get lost in the sauce." Quote:They just said he's been playing with multiple fractured ribs for a couple weeks on Fox but it's just the excuse train rolling. I might have missed it but I don't remember seeing anything about this on the injury report. If he was injured and the team didn't report it...I'd think the NFL will take issue with that. Quote:You've got a guy in his second season ho is younger that looks better than Andrew luck. How can you say that after only a few bad games from Luck, and only a few good games from Bortles? Why think that a sample size that represents less than 10% of his career is most indicative of a 26 years career trajectory? There is precedent for players improving all that way into their late 30s. None of my earlier questions have been answered, and until they are I don't know how anyone can continue to justify their position in an objective way. How do you guys think non jags fans would answer this question? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! How do you guys think non jags fans would answer this question? Non jaguars fans would parrot what they hear on ESPN. I say that because I've been closely watching Andrew luck since he was a sophomore at Stanford. He was a god in college but at the nfl level he has remained pretty much the same as he was the last 5 years. Talk about his numbers all you want, or the hype, or the espn BS.... Watch him actually play objectively, you'll see what I've been saying.

Quote:Non jaguars fans would parrot what they hear on ESPN. It's so obviously false though. He's coming off a 40 td 16 int season on 7.7 ypa and over 60% completion. To say he hasn't improved since college is disingenuous. And so is saying you'd take bortles for him straight up. Bortles can only dream of putting up numbers like that. Still need answers to my original questions, you're grasping at straws here. Quote:I'm not sure but jay glazer broke that news on fox about two minutes before I posted it. It's been all over Twitter that his rib injury hasn't been on the injury report IF Glazer is correct. Glazer has a good track record in "exclusive" reports from my memory. I seem to remember the NFL having a pretty strict policy on injury reporting. This could be interesting. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! I said watch him play and that the numbers are irrelevant. You came back and posted numbers. Congrats.

Quote:I said watch him play and that the numbers are irrelevant. You came back and posted numbers. Congrats. I've watched him play. I've watched him lead a comeback against the Titans and nearly do it against the Saints. I've watched him come up big in meaningful games and lead his team to the playoffs. I've also watched Bortles struggle with decision making (red zone turnovers and pick 6s a plenty), horrible inaccuracy (regressing), and erractic pocket presence. All the same problems he has been dealing with last year, the major difference? His WRs are actually making some plays for him. Regardless, why should I think maybe 3 games worth of bad football while he is injured, and on a team dealing with internal turmoil and incompetence, is more indicative of his abilities? You keep ducking the questions.
As an NFL fan you have to feel short changed with all these prime time Indy games

Indy could be in a bit of trouble with Roger and ther NFL if this turns out to be true, which is very possible. Pagano might not survive this, barring a big turnaround in the 2nd half of the season.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Lol Luck doesnt have decision making problems? Have you seen his INTs? The guy has thrown more INTs than Cutler the past 3 years.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
The funny thing about this thread is that calling Luck overrated doesn't mean he's being called a bad QB, just not as good as people like Baconator think he is. mvannostran is right, the guy throws a ton of INTs, and while he had a statistically really good season last year it's been the exception so far, and he's still throwing a lot of the same kind of INTs that get people on this board screaming about Bortles. The difference is that over the last few years when the colts played anyone in the division they were by far the better team with the better QB, I'm not sure that will be the case much longer the way Bortles and the Jags young core of WRs is coming along.
I really don't want to play Hasselbeck again. This team goes full [BLEEP] against backup QBs for some reason
THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. Quote:Lol Luck doesnt have decision making problems? Have you seen his INTs? The guy has thrown more INTs than Cutler the past 3 years. When did I say that? And when did I say Luck wasn't overrated? I do think he's overrated, just obviously better than Bortles. To say that an objective person would trade Luck for Bortles straight up is nonsense. Quote: They should make them just forfeit the rest of the season
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
How epic would that be if the lost a draft pick after the whole deflatefate thing....come on. Please happen!
