I had no idea. Since moved from ESPN to CBS, he has become nearly invisible.

Let me ask you, what roles do the opponents players, play calling, weather, and luck have on offenses?

Pretty sure it was the weather this week....

Seriously though, do you think the play calling was good?

One of these years.............

How is this a national story? The hubbub over something like this is one thing I hate about sports.

it's pretty relevant though.  fans are always [BLEEP] about play calls, and Bortles is one of the few to respond to it head-on

It's all about clicks now. Any thing that will draw people to your site is gold. Very few if any people are getting the quote within context of the presser but who cares as long as gets traffic to the site.

I think it's hilarious and even if Bortles had meant it the way it sounds it would only make me like him more.

I guess. When I heard the comments, I thought it would rub some people the wrong way. Probably the people that spend time complaining about everything in the comments section on Facebook or on Jacksonville.com. I thought the comments were funny. I am just surprised that national media outlets picked up on this.

And everybody has to be outraged about something too.

Because people are taking it as Bortles taking a shot at the fans. Acting like if he basically said "you don't know a thing, shut up" and when the team has the worst record in the NFL since 2011, its gonna happen.

Yeah, people are choosing to take it the wrong way. Shocking. Probably the same people that would say "I pay your salary" to an athlete.

You're right, Every time we're in national headlines is because of something negative and they say we suck. What's makes it worst, is we prove them to be correct, with our game play on the field.

Kanell said all his coaches would have a stack of letters from fans telling them how to do their job. lol

however, he said this is something he would advise QBs to never say, because the fans will turn on him and use the comment against him.
