What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Really hope Caldwell drafts some Refs this year. In fact I'd say rounds 1-7 should be used on drafting Refs.
As annoying as some of the pats fans are being, it's no different than any winning team's fans. We lost because we played scared on offense and the defense didn't show up when it was needed. We lost this game and should have won. That's what hurts so much. We were so close to the super bowl. I agree that the refs didn't make the calls for us that they made for them. But it's nothing new in football. There's always bias and the league wants bigger names in the big game. Until we play like we did this year consistently, we'll never get these calls in the big games. So mad we didn't finish, but so glad we had such a great year. For the crap pile we've been for so long, we finally have something to look forward to. Just sucks we couldn't do it when we were so close.
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

The fact that Pats fans have to come in here, register and make an account, just to defend their win shows the insecurity they have towards how they won that game. They are looking for acknowledgement from the losing fanbase

The other PI resulted in a punt, the helmet to helmet was clear. yea that wasnt even close. it's possible we still blow a 17 point lead with 13:30 to go. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. The point is the jags didn't lose because of penalties alone, the bigger issue is the first half there was fire and creativity, defense was getting to Brady rushing just the line, the offensive playcalling was dynamic and hard for the pats to figure out. 2nd half like others pointed out, 2 rushes up the gut then a pass and the defense stayed in the locker room, and started playing off the receivers with much lessI’d like to have intelligent conversation about the game. All I hear is whining and complaining. All I ever hear is the refs won the game for the patriots. Give me a break. Bottom line the patriots won because they outcoached the jaguars coaches . The Jaguars by far have better talent on their roster . I am not disputing the officiating issue Just give up bro. Not sure why you are even going back and forth with them. I congratulated their team on another thread and somehow, it was seen as being arrogant and a prick. I just said that was a great game and that defense is no joke. Also complemented Bortles. After a loss like this, people generally are in their emotions and aren't thinking logically, plus, you know Bill has the refs paid off. winks* We show less advertisements to registered users. We have entered the consciousness of America now. We will get at least 3 prime time games next year and go back to the playoffs. We have to play our role and eventually we will be rewarded.

We were robbed. A pats fan wouldn't understand.
7 points were taken away from us for no good reason and directly impacted the result.

It must feel great to never have to worry about a game, having the refs on your side at all times...

So let me just understand you think somehow Bob Kraft is paying the referees to make no calls against the patriots ?How exactly does this work in your mind? Explain.
The patriots get favorable calls. It happened again today. Just enjoy the advantage.

I love the "jags have more talent" narrative when the team you're comparing them to has the best QB to play the game in decades. LOL The QB weighs a bit heavier when measuring roster talent, no? The pats coached a little better in the second half than the jags, but the jags are limited in their options offensively because they have to constantly guard against putting Blake in a position to turn the ball over. Not exactly a full palette to paint with. I'm not whining and complaining. There were some stupid calls and a number of non-calls but not terribly more than there are in most games. I actually predicted 24-20 NE if the jags make mistakes and 27-20 Jags if the Jags don't screw up. We know which happened. Defensively - The Jags should have played less zone and played more press - jamming Amendola and Cooks at the line. They didn't. That was a mistake. They should have kept their foot on the gas on offense in the third quarter - but they kept getting backed up an didn't want #5 to throw picks. That's an understandable strategy given his history of doing so. The Jags are simply a few pieces away on offense from being able to beat the pats right now. If they had their #1 receiver and a run blocking upgrade or two on the O-Line - they probably pull that one off - even with Bortles. Congrats on the win. Pretty good game. |
