Boyd has had a disappointing season. He routinely locks on one receiver (Watkins) and tries to thread impossibly small windows. A big reason why they got clobbered by FSU. If Bridgewater had Watkins this year, every one would be talking about them both. Watkins would be a top 5.

One player I would LOVE to have is Sammy Watkins.  Not at #3 overall - but maybe in a trade back scenario.  I think he's going to be special.

This is the day Buckeyes haters will have a hard time rooting against Ohio State. Linebacker Ryan Shazier is a potential first round pick, but may be available at #39, so I  hope he statistically has a good game. For Clemson, quarterback Tahj Boyd has been pretty good, but not elite. There probably are other players you want to watch too.

 

I know this much: OSU is better and should win. The Buckeyes are #7 and the Tigers are #12. But I have no idea what the Tigers can do to a top 10 team.

 

I also know Matt Millen sucks. No matter what he says, make your own judgments about the players who will be in the NFL next season.

 

This is the last bowl game before the national championship game in Pasadena, so I am hoping it is a good one.

 

I am a bucky hater, and I have no trouble rooting against them.

At some point you just have to let go of what you thought should happen and live in what is happening.

It will be as important to Ryan Shazier as the TAMU/Duke game was for another player who wears #2. What he does tonight will have some effect on his draft stock. Also, the second round is not a bad time to pick a linebacker who was labeled one of the best in the FBS. But if you think Russell Allen is good enough for the starting Sam job, feel free to think what you want about picking a linebacker.

 

Anyway, I am going to see why a lot of people liked Tahj Boyd last year or why he is not so loved this year, depending on his performance tonight.
