Dumb question. What happens to the people down south who evacuate, get stuck in gridlock traffic and run out of gas then can't fill up because stations are empty? Sounds like a nightmare.

I would imagine the main highways will be steadily supplied with fuel especially now that they're being escorted in. Also, they're got two and a half days to make it North. They should be fine.

Gas stations along major evacuation routes are the first priority for tankers. They'll be getting fuel right up to the point where it's unsafe to refill them.
