On the FB touchdown - you can see they put Koyack and Shatley on the left side and the tinhorns are pretty keyed on Fournette to run middle or left.  Blake and Leonard do a good enough job with the fake that Lewis and Bohanon are able to leak out to the right with very little coverage.

What's most impressive here is how quick Cam came back to get Clowney after Shatley whiffed.

They also mentioned on 1010 how Fournette was trying to pump up the crowd, allegedly giving the illusion of "you know I'm getting the ball, try to stop me!'

I'd seen criticism of Fournette's pad level at some point. Seems misguided, he does a good job of getting his pads down when he should from what I saw Sunday and during my second watching of the game today. Of course when he can just avoid a guy he does a great job of that, too.

A lot of draft pundits praised how he does that in order to protect his legs from injury.

Awesome breakdowns man. Appreciate all of that. It was great to see another full back in there and the tight ends assisting in the ground game. Who would have thought by committing just two more additional blockers on offense that it would somehow open up the running game more.

I know this thread is FB/TE related to blocking but I wish there was a short clip of Parnell abusing Watt but I can't remember which play was that. I think it was second half on a passing situation, Watt went around the edge and Parnell just shut him down and pushed him down to the ground, was great to see.
They played hard on that Oline.

Ivory looked noticeably different and better in this game too. As long as those two guys are healthy we stand a chance if the line can keep pulling and get out front like they did on Sunday. This is probably the strongest backfield we've had as a group since the Freddy and Maurice days. Sprinkle in some Corey Grant and you could be in for a show this year.

I seem to remember criticism of him being too much of an upright runner, but I didn't see it Sunday. When he was behind the line of scrimmage he had good knee bend and kept his pass low going into the line and when contact could be coming.

Took a lot of dbs for 4-5 yard rides on Sunday.

Marqise Lee threw a number of great blocks in this game. He's developed a real toughness that's great to see. There were signs of it last season and it's quite clear now he's got a mean streak.

We had good holes but never really any gaping holes. Our line and FB did pretty good which is great. This is always one of the best if not the best D-Lines we will see all season. I fully expect to give up sacks in the games ahead especially if we are required to pass more.

One thing that was great to see was IVORY running hard and playing well. If he keeps that up we have great depth at that position.

One thing I noticed during the game was that very often, the fullback would go one way, left or right, and Fournette would go the other way. Fournette was not necessarily following the fullback.

Fast forward to the TD pass to Bohanon. Fournette takes the play action fake, while Bohanon goes into the right flat. All set up by the fact that the defense has seen that where the fullback goes is not necessarily where Fournette is going. That frees up the fullback because everyone is biting on Fournette and Bohanon can just swing into the right flat.

So, I'm theorizing that the TD to Bohanon was set up by all those previous plays where the defense was conditioned to ignore the fullback and just follow Fournette.

Maybe I'm overthinking, but it sure seems to me that the TD pass was a logical follow-on to the types of running plays they'd been running. Part of a system: we run this way, run this way, run this way, and then we come back with this other thing. All those plays were related and planned logically.

I also noticed Fournette not following Bohanon or a blocking TE at times. I think a couple of those were by design (misdirection) and a couple were Fournette looking for daylight. I think you are correct that the goal line misdirection was set up.

One thing is certain. Marrone/Hackett are better at this stuff than Bradley/Olson and adding Fournette definitely didn't hurt. 

It will get tougher this week. Here's hoping they've got a few more tricks up their sleeve.

Actually I'm not sure that it is. If contact is initiated at the waste or above by the low blocker then it's technically legal even if he ends up low.

The first contact is the TEs side hitting Watt at the knees, it was definitely a chop block.
