You act like this was Bortles first bad game lol. Don't compare the 2 please.

Yeah, that's some MAJOR false equivalency there.

It is completely idiotic to think any team I'd going to trade their backup QB away in week 2, especially when their starter is struggling.  You do grasp just how stupid that suggestion is, right?

McCarron is no more of an option for this team than Tom Brady is.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

So get over it Colin will never be a Jag.

Khan said he'd be willing to sign him if recommended by the football minds, Coughlin said no.

The football minds made it clear there's no interest.  Khan was simply deflecting any possible criticism from the likes of Spike Lee and other celebrities who were calling out owners for not signing the guy.

People think there are GM's just waiting on us to call to make any deal we would want.

They've played too much Madden and think that if you just keep making offers, the team with eventually cave.  I can see them in front of their TV going, "Hey, if you trade the next 8 years 6th round picks, you can trade for Cousins" or other nonsense.

Consider who is suggesting this.

Well, he was suggesting giving two first round picks to New England for Jimmy G, so he'd give WAY more than sixth round picks for McCarron.

Even next year Blake Bortles will still be our starter because he will be playing on the fifth year option.

Keeping Borthes does not assure us anything in either free agency or the draft. The future is unknown for him and the team.

I don't wanna hear, ohhh who can they bring in.......there are options out there that are better than Blake.

So why is this organization set on our QB situation?

and then have jack [BLEEP] for picks next year...We need OL really bad and if we trade away pics for a one year stop gap we can't get quality OL...I know Kaep wouldn't cost any picks, but, Coughlin already said they did their study of Kaep and they are not interested...

IDK why it's so hard to understand why Kaep is unemployed...Not one of 32 teams are interested in him, not even as a back up and yet fans still call for him...They did the same thing with Tebow who is a baseball player now because 32 teams didn't think he was good enough to be a NFL QB even though fans still call for him...

Tebow is a bad example? How many chances did the NFL give Tebow before he stepped away? Also, he was picked up by the Patriots and if you can't be a back up in that offense
then you really need to have a seat.

Bortles won't be on the roster beyond the start of the new league year.  You can book that now. They'll release him the first chance they get.  He's not going to have any trade value. They're not going to pay him $19 million.  Barring some miraculous turn around, he's done as a Jaguar in 14 games.

Blake can be cut after the season saving the 19 mil...unless he is injured.

The Rams have a very intriguing young QB on their roster. His name is Brandon Allen. I know we already spent a draft pick on him, but maybe it's worth spending another to get him back.

I'm just kidding, but we never should have let him go.

If the price is right they would.

So you'd rather stick with status quo and watch this disaster at QB for the rest of the season. Breaking News, he wont turn it around.

Let's see... U got me pondering upon who it is that I may despise. Personally, and all, I mean... Hmph! Can't think of anyone. I mean, trump comes to mind but I don't DESPISE the guy. What's with all this aimless hate in this world we live?

It's Bortles this year. So you can stop complaining about the lack of trades.

Next year is a whole new ball game. Expect Rudolph, Jackson, Darnold, Rosen or Allen to be in Teal come May 2018. I also wouldn't be shocked if there is a veteran signed as well.

But as far as this year? Please don't make a new thread after every game about how bad Blake is. We all know he's bad and no one here has said otherwise.

Well that's because he's worth nothing. He sucks.

He's currently playing pickup basketball against 40 year old bald dudes.

My guess is they go hard after one of these free agent qb's over the summer. Garoppolo or Cousins would be interesting here.

Allen will never EARN a starting gig in the NFL.  He's destined for career backup status.  Letting him go didn't hurt this roster one bit.
