Since we're all eating crow...time to give Fowler his props.

Somewhere KYJaggy is going back and looking at his spider charts and wondering what went wrong.

Don't forget the forced fumble and the fumble return for a TD. 2. He's on pace for double digit sacks, FWIW after three only three games. I am on record as being happy with 8 sacks out of Fowler. Thus far, it appears he may get that. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Maybe it's because he was smelling like a first round bust for a while, and now he's playing a little bit better.

A game against the guy who has been graded as literally the worst RT in the sport, a game where he got blanked, and a game where he was almost blanked if not for Flacco rolling right into him counts as enough time to eat crow? I realize we're high on the 2-1 start and all, but let's try to stay grounded at least a tad. There is plenty of time for opinions to change, but 3 games (and not even 3 good games) is not time for that yet.

He looked lost last year. He abused our crappy oline last year in camp but up until this season I was ready to label him as a bust. He's just as versatile as a 3-4 OLB. Has put some technique into his game to go with the athleticism. Good coaching makes everyone look better.
No pain, no gain.

I know the difference, and if we were to make this about grammar, we could spend a lot of time on your posts too. I replied to your comment that he's "meh". He has played on a whole new level compared to previous years, and you're trolling doesn't change that. You can't just dismiss a forced fumble, fumble recovery, and a TD.

What are you talking about, he beat his man right when the ball was snapped of course Flacco gonna run into him, since he was right there immediately. And you dont think all these other top sack artiest get there sacks on bad onlines? JJ Watt got like 5 a year on us, and Tenn has a running QB and the best OL in the NFL plus they ran the ball the whole 2nd half. You just dont want to give the guy credit, go eat your crow my dude

He made Brandon Albert retire, so there's that.
I was afraid Fowler was gonna pick up a penalty on the Flacco sack. He was awful close to the head. But he seems to be playing well as a situational pass rusher. The positive impression he's made (no matter how slight or significant you may see it) has come while only being on the field for 41% of the defensive snaps. Well, neither of you are remembering it that well actually. Fowler was on a TE (Boyle) and controlled him around the outside easily enough to be able to just barely get a hand on Flacco from behind pretty quickly. Flacco was trying to step up into the pocket to escape Fowler but was cut off from doing so by his Center who broke backward to pick up Ngakoue who had come free. Flacco didn't "run into" Fowler but was blocked from escaping him.
Exactly, it was a designed moved pocket. If it wasn't designed for Flacco to move 7 steps towards Fowler's side the sack wouldn't have happened.
I did forget to point out that it was a TE blocking Fowler too that is worth pointing out. If we're giving Fowler credit it would be better to focus on the Malik/Calais sandwich sack. Fowler was much better on that play.
