Even a win wouldn't have mattered

We dont suck, we are 2-2, just like Tenn, Houston and the Pats
We just are not a great team yet, we lost on the road in the NFL get over it, we are much better team then we have been, we may just go 8-8 with all the win loss win loss, but that doesnt mean we suck

With Bortles at QB and major holes in the OL, lacking a WR1, lacking a TE, this team wasn't going anywhere this year anyway. Next year is the year. They need to find a QB and plug a couple guys into the OL for this team to get to where it needs to be. Dave dropped the ball not getting BB a safety blanket TE this off-season. Sure, Lewis had a good game in London, but he is pretty much pure trash at this point. Well, when you start your windup like there's a runner on first base that you're holding close, the defense has plenty of time to put their hands up, have a smoke, call their wives.......and then bat the ball down.

I think/hope they play next week - but they will still lose it.
It will 2-3 coming back home to face the Rams, who look good as well. When things aren't going our way, our offense is probably one of the worst in the league. We have no deep threats, our receivers are prone to drops, our QB is inaccurate and has a history of making terrible decisions, our playcalling is predictable. So it really depends.... if we go down 10-0 quickly, it will become a very very ugly loss very quickly for us.

Their protest extended to the actual game. You act surprised. It's the same old Jags. That's why I wasn't buying in when everyone had a W for this game. I'm surprised we had a "winning" September first time long time. Didn't start the month of October well but hey.

Lewis is a TE2 borderline TE3. He's well passed his "prime" and isn't a threat to any good defense. Games like London are the anomaly at this point. A better TE would certainly have made a difference but it wouldn't be THE difference. Bortles is nowhere near the answer at QB. Until that changes and we add at least two average-above average guys on the OL, this team isn't going anywhere. If everything falls there way they MIGHT end up 7-9/8-8. With a more efficient QB and even just ONE more solid guy on the OL this team is a 10 win team. Lewis isn't the problem with this team.
The problem is between play calling and Bortles. They go hand in hand. The play calling needs to be balanced to ensure a defense respects both pass and run and all areas of the field. This will make all aspects of the offense more effective. But the plays must be executed and that starts with Bortles. (10-01-2017, 05:38 PM)Jest101 Wrote: Lewis isn't the problem with this team. He's not part of the solution either. He's not a threat in the passing game the majority of the time. He's a backup TE and should be replaced in the offseason at that too. I respect all he's done and the time he's been a Jaguar but it's a young mans game and we need new blood at the position. We show less advertisements to registered users. Welp, I was out of town and unable to watch week 1 and 3. At home and watched the terrible week 2 and 4. I'll be out of town unable to watch week 5, if we blow out the steelers then obviously I'm the jinx.
