Yup, Russell Wilson is playing MVP ball, they plug-in-play players for injured players and don't lose much, chasing NFC West title, and it's a 4pm game so time difference is no factor. Jaguars can't cover TE's and they got Jimmy Graham. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I hear there is a hell of a lot of travelling Seahawks fans at this game as well.
Home field advantage will be borderline non-existent I bet. (12-04-2017, 12:13 PM)Jagsfan32277 Wrote:Yup. Seattle looked terrific at home against the Redskins and Falcons recently, didn't they? To each their own. I'm just saying Seattle is not the team they were the prior few seasons. Granted,, it's gonna be much tougher than the three last games for the Jags (Colts, Cardinals, Browns). But, I still think the Jags will win it on the strength of their defense at home.

Seattle is a tough match up for Jax D because they have an elite TE and QB. That is why TN gives Jax trouble. But, Sea OL is a problem. Brown is solid but nobody else is. Jax DL has to make hay there. Wilson will break contain on Jax but I don't think Jax can handle Graham and Wilson easily. I think Seattle front 7 is as elite as Jax. Their secondary is weak compared to when TN played them but this means Bortles has to make plays. I think Jax OL is going to get exposed in this one. Wagner will take care of your RB too.
#11 for Jax has to play lights out.
You know you're dealing with a belief system when you get an emotional response.

We learned in the Sunday School who made the sun shine through. I know who made the moonshine too, back where I come from.
It's not going to be fun chasing Russell Wilson. Hope we contain him or it could be a disaster for our LB's

All I was trying to say about the Seahawks not being "all that" anymore is if the Titans, Redskins, Falcons can beat them (two of those games in their own stadium),, then the Jags can too. Seattle is not some dominant team like a few seasons ago. Titans, Redskins, Falcons (12-04-2017, 12:59 PM)WhoYouBE Wrote:Did anyone say Seattle had a bad defense? They have beaten the Ravens by over 30. They have beaten the Chargers. Those are 3 playoff teams and 2 of those games were a place away from Jacksonville. Wilson could absolutely throw for 2 TDs and he most likely will. However, you can expect the best pass defense in the league to have something to say about it. You can expect Campbell and Yannick to abuse their RT. You can expect Jackson and Dareus to put Joke on his butt. If the Jags can get their Oline healthy this week, I think you'll see an improved run game. This will be a good game and I expect the Jags to come out and show that they belong in the post season. The games we really need to win is Houston and Tenn. A must win is if you lose your in a lot of trouble or your out of the race, if we lose to Seattle we still control our own destiny

I think it will come down to turnovers. Keep in mind this is a bit of a trap game for Seattle, with the Jag game sandwiched between last night's game against Philly and a huge NFC West game against the Rams in 2 weeks. A loss to the AFC doesn't hurt them as much as a loss to the Rams would.
If the Jags can get a bit healthier on the O-Line and get Telvin back on D, I feel they can go toe to toe with the hawks.
Telvin's speed will be very handy when Wilson improvises out of the pocket. You have to wonder if Wash/Marrone will go with a defensive gameplan of "containment" instead of consistent pressure on the QB. It may be do-able with the Jags secondary and you can eliminate some of those big strikes on extended plays that way. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
This is, essentially, a playoff game. Seattle is the type of quality opponent we'll face in the playoffs. Big test for us.
