I think I'd rather control our destiny to the 2 seed than a slightly better shot at the 1. If PIT wins all we have to do is win and we get #2 and a bye for the time in almost 20 years. I'd take that over praying PIT or NE lose against sub par competition the last two weeks.

No, no, no!  You and every other Jags fan should be pulling for the Stoolers.  NE might lose this week if we are lucky, but they will be winning their final 2 games against the Bills and Jets.  PIT might lose to NE, but will not lose their following two games against the Texans and Browns.

So, in recap, The final standings will be either:

NE 13-3, PIT 13-3. (leaving Jags 3rd seed at best)
or
PIT 14-2, NE 12-4  (leaving Jags 2nd seed if they win out)

Barring divine intervention, 1st seed is not possible this year and that’s just the reality of the situation.

Well now we need the Pats and Steelers to slip up for one game each. I could see Buffalo possibly upsetting New England, being a division game.

Pittsburgh is without AB now from what I understand, but I have serious doubts they lose to Cleveland or Houston.

Chances are we are still cheering for NE to lose, so we can sneak into the 2 seed, it is highly unlikely we get the 1 seed, we'd need the Steelers AND Pats to lose.

Its possible, and I will be cheering for it to occur, but its highly unlikely.
