The Bills
|
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/201...d-tickets/
Bills fans taking over Jacksonville. “Wait, wait, wait,” the Bills responded on Thursday via Twitter. “Unused tickets from the Bills? Fake news. We didn’t return any tickets. In fact, the next time you need help with a sellout, we’ll take more.” "And all 16 of their fans think this will be a Jags home game. There is a reason tickets ballooned no less than 5x face value immediately after the Ravens lost (Bills fans). We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! They will. The Jags will beat Buffalo fairly handily I'd imagine. The defense will be just too much for the Bill's offense. Jags offense will probably look pretty good too in this game. Not too much to worry about for this week's game IMO. Jags should move on fairly easily.

Welcome to the board. (I assume this ^ is the post you just referenced) I guess I'm one of those not fun realists. I think each team has a way to win this one. I think it's a slightly easier path for the Jags than the bills to make that happen. Much of it hinges on the run game for the Jags. If they get Fournette going early it will bode well. If they don't then Bortles must play smart with the ball against a secondary that has 14 picks between Tre White, and safeties Poyer and Hyde. Jags receivers can get open vs these guys - but Blake must be sure not to repeat mistakes from recent weeks. Defensively the Jags need to do three things: Contain the QBs mobility Limit the TE Clay Limit whatever back carries the ball The rest of the defensive stuff all favors the Jags. Personally - I think the Jags OC (Hackett) gets a bit crafty with the FB and TEs to help spring Fournette and the other backs in the run game and Blake only needs to pass about 25 times to get the necessary points up. I'm guessing it's a 23 -16 Jags victory.

what happened to that bills fan that was constantly bashing Marcell Dareus. Weird that we haven't heard form him this week.

This Bills best shot is to get ahead early, and force Bortles to play catch-up. At some points this season, our run D has been great, but it has not been good as of late. Pretty awful actually. But if we can manage to score first and force Bortles into some erratic throws, the Bills could sneak this one out. My biggest concern is that Tyrod doesn't take many shots downfield, but it appears that that is where the Jags D is most beatable. So hopefully he throws caution to the wind on some deep balls this week. We're playing with house money anyways, might as well take some shots. We show less advertisements to registered users. If you want to look at class, there it is. If you are going to come on another teams message board you should expect Jaguar fans to have a slanted view towards the Jags, but if anyone said anything comparably as dumb as the Jags backed into the playoffs and acted like the Bills didn't they would have quite a few responses from Jag fans. What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
I’m wondering how the Bills OLine is going to block Yannick and Campbell? If the Bills can’t run on 1st down, Taylor will be forced to throw early. Can the Bills receivers make enough plays?
Bortles played turnover free football for most of the season. Even in that SF game, the offense put up 33. Against the Titans, they had just unreal bad field position and turned it over 4 times..... still only lost by 5. Bills are going to need so many things to go in their favor. I’m not saying it can’t happen but the Jags defense is ready. They’re ready to make some noise. I think Fournette is healthy and ready to play like the Leonard before he got hurt. Lee and Hurns are back. The Bills haven’t seen a defense like this since the Chargers game. They won 3 of their last 4 but twice against the Fins and once in a snow storm against the Colts.... in OT. Jags play turnover free football then they win. If they turn it over and can’t run and special teams plays bad, then they can lose. We show less advertisements to registered users. Can the Bills receivers make enough plays? Tyrod doesn't throw much to his WR's. So the real key is shutting down Clay, and stopping McCoy from catching balls out of the backfield. The Head Ref for this game worked the Bills opener this season, and his crew really enjoyed seeing yellow all over the field...so those little ticky tack calls could also play a big factor, depending on when they come, and who they are against.

On the other hand, the Jags defensive line had 55 sacks and the Bills had 27. Stats wise that's a good mismatch for the Jags, and getting Cam Robinson back will be huge. Even at 75% he's a massive step up from Josh Wells. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Can the Bills receivers make enough plays? As said above, Taylor doesn't really rely on his WR's, he makes plays all over. If McCoy is playing there is no way he will be 100% healthy but Buffalo run a lot of option plays which can be tough to cover the WR's, TE's, McCoy, may be the FB and Taylor. The pass rush needs to be smart and contain Taylor as much as they can, he'll scramble and try and extend plays but the D line can't over pursuit. We need to get Fournette going somehow early. I think Hackett will have a few plays ready that can maybe surprise then with. My only real worry is if we start slow and maybe give up a cheap score, it's a young team, first playoff game, do they have it in them to power through and find ways to make plays or do we just crumble? I think this team has turned a corner but both the O and D have been guilty of letting games slip away this year. Just win!

If he's forced to go back in at least the Bills pass rush isn't that great. |
