Rapoport: Steelers are not re-signing Todd Haley
Todd Haley will apparently not be back as the Steelers' offensive coordinator. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Wednesday that the Steelers will not re-sign Haley, the team's offensive coordinator since the start of the 2012 season. https://247sports.com/nfl/pittsburgh-ste...-113836070 ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. The celebration is real over on Steelers Fury. Also for anyone who hasn’t read the gameday thread on their site, it’s amazing. Required reading to fully enjoy the Jags season.
If you really wanna splurge, read the game thread on pats fans .com as well. The slow transition from being excited to play us thinking we’re the easier out, to fearing us, is beautiful. The Jaguars are a highly talented team and might have beaten the Steelers regardless of how Mike Tomlin and many of the Steelers players approached the game. But Tomlin certainly deserves more than his share of the blame for what took place leading up to the game and with a number of decisions during the game.
Apparently from what I've read and seen on ESPN from former players in interviews, Haley is a hard person to get along with. Apparently he yells a lot, is never satisfied and has a penchant for berating players in front of their teammates. It wasn't his coaching that got him fired. It was his personality. He and Ben did not get a long at all, even though Roethlisberger had some of his best years under Haley.
