I have to say the journalists in New England - specifically Boston are the most arrogant and condeceding writers I've ever listened to. I'm speaking largely to Dan Shaunessey and Scott Zolak. Zolak played for the Pats and he's the color commentator. He hardly counts as a journalist because with him it's all emotion Shaughnassey is a world class you-know-what. NO ONE likes him up here in NE. There are several others too. Half these clowns do nothing, but talk crap ABOUT the local teams. Mike Reiss is the one to read.

Pats fans to me are like Bama fans right now .... kind of in chill mode saving up their trash talking for their most hated rivals like the Steelers and even Yankee fan (given the Boston/NY rivalry).

The fans that are the worst are usually the Northeatern ones that have been let down time and time again like Eagle fan.

Nice one. Cheers for citing that thread, Jags4life. A lot of memories indeed. I love Skeeter Rob, a kind warm soul. He absolutely drew me in to the gang, and I joined parties and tailgates when I flew in for games after leaving da Ville. Jagrams/Suzzy sent me game tapes and Jag items too during grad, all the way in DC/VA, and facilitated hookups with other fans in the area. Boop, my dear Boop, whatever happened to her and the posse? They loved my voice ; ). Good ole ChiefJag, I haven't seen much of either, but I have been sporadic lately too. Nearly 20 years is an awfully long time.

Arkansan, I remember well. I had one of the bigger mouths back then (still do) and fought with the "Lord Allmatty crew" vehemently, for their allegiance to one man not the Jags team. He was not of that ilk. Good to see some 'old' faces ; ). Go Jags

Just checking in to say, wow. Your team gave the Pats one helluva game. My son and I were nervous as hell in the 4th quarter, and did NOT want to kick the ball back to the Jags.

AFCCG losses are f***ing tough. But IMHO you can take solace in the fact that your team played hard and played well... you were COACHED very well, which is rare in this league...

...and I believe you'll dominate your division next year.

Hats off to you all, and see you next season.

As a Jags fan, its becoming ridiculous how many grown men are complaining about refs. The Jags lost boys. Grow up and eat it. It sucks, but it was COACHING!!!!!!! wake up!

Thanks for coming back and the good words. It’s refreshing to have a classy fan come back and congratulate the team. Sure, it’s a tough loss. One game away. But I think the vast majority of the members here are feeling pretty good about the team going head to head with the best in the league. Maybe a few hurt ones. But overall not really heartbroken. The future is certainly bright in Jacksonville. Hopefully we’ll have the chance next year to unseat you guys from your throne.
