96 yards vs. 0 yards (basically) when it comes to penalties.

The NFL wanted the "Drama" of the "injured" 40 y/o QB against the #1 Defense, to lead a comeback in the 4th, all that jive. It's so rigged it isn't even funny. There were obvious holds against the pats that didn't get called, and some pretty ticky tack plays called against the jags.

Garbage. Starting to wonder why I spend 1000+ dollars on season tickets for this WWE level [BLEEP].

I will agree officiating in some games has been horrendous this year.  But it was not in this Game . Sick and tired of hearing other fans whining, crying and being butt hurt. Your team got beat by the greatest football player in the history of the NFL . You guys played not to lose.  You started to play scared, at the end of the first half, or at least your coaches were calling it like they were scared of losing . Why would you kneel on the ball with 55 seconds left before the half ? Jaguars ran  out of plays to run. Your Coaches basically had a handful of plays that you ran very well .The Patriots  clamped down on defense in the 4th quarter. Actually iif Gilmore doesn’t bat that pass down  at the end of the game  that’s a touchdown Jaguars win. Take your loss and suck it up.

I'm a Jags fan, but this guy is right. Coaches cost us the game. Two timeouts and 55 seconds left from our own 25 and we take a knee...it just goes to show you what the coaches think of Blake. Hackett was terrible in the fourth.

Defensively - The Jags should have played less zone and played more press - jamming Amendola and Cooks at the line. They didn't. That was a mistake.  They should have kept their foot on the gas on offense in the third quarter - but they kept getting backed up an didn't want #5 to throw picks.  That's an understandable strategy given his history of doing so. 

The Jags are simply a few pieces away on offense from being able to beat the pats right now.  If they had their #1 receiver and a run blocking upgrade or two on the O-Line - they probably pull that one off - even with Bortles.

Why has nobody mentioned the delay of game call late in the first half? I thought that was the turning point. If that play had stood, it's a first down for the Jags, they kill the clock into the half and add 3 or 7 to go up 17-3 or 21-3. Instead, the Patriots drive the length of the field and go into halftime down only 14-10.

Both Belichick and Brady said in their post-game press conferences that going in at only 14-10 despite being badly outplayed was significant.

When teams have played man he has struggled badly.  I thought it was a good game. I look foward to playing you guys next year at your place.  Just add one thing. The main problem I have with officiating is the inconsistency. Sometimes you see a blatant  PI calls that does not get called , then you see someone barely touched and it’s PI. Need full-time refs across-the-board. PI calls are devastating especially if the QB heaves it in the end zone it is set at the 1 yard line.  Perhaps PI call should be reviewable or be a 15 yard penalty rather than a spot foul.

Clock management will always be one of the makers of a  good offense, be it getting the plays off in time or managing time outs. Manning, Brady, brees, and Rodgers all have the clocks in their mind as soon as the previous play is dead. Manning by far the most superior. Huddled, call a play, go to line, motion, fake snap, oh then he's hot routing everyone on the field and snapping with a half second left. I'm glad he retired, and the other 31 will be glad when Brady does

I don’t think this game was rigged. But between not a single penalty besides the ST gaffe called on the Pats, and a picture of the ref literally smiling at the Pats players after they scored a TD, the perception issue comes into play.

They are better at a number of positions.  "Overall much better" is a reach. Especially with that "exception" you keep sweeping under the rug. 

Anyway - thanks for the compliments - backhanded or not. I hope the Jags coaching staff is able to come away from this one with a few objectives for improvement in their game management, play-calling and defensive scheme decisions. If they can do that and improve the O-Line a bit (run blocking) - a re-match could be an epic battle next year. 

The inconsistency from the refs on PI calls is indeed a broken system that needs a fix.

Every Pats homer criticizing little things the Jags could have done better can all go [BLEEP] themselves. If this game was called honestly, Jags win easily. All the Pats TDs came on penalty drives, while obvious offensive holding by the Pats was not called on play after play. The Jags TE getting mugged twice with the ball in the air on critical 3rd downs. Myles Jack's easy TD and the play is blown dead. Oops, sorry. Eat a bag of [BLEEP], NFL.
