I just posted a link with 10 non-calls to go along with the glaring calls/non-calls we have been discussing since Sunday afternoon.

Am I being melodramatic, overemotional and exaggerated when I can see ALL of these penalties and see a clean sheet in the box score for New England?

I don't think so. How can objective referees miss EVERY one of them? These are supposed to be the best crews, so I have to rule out incompetence.

So, according to your research, it sounds as if you believe the refs missed countless NE penalties......but, miraculously, called ALL of the Jags' violations?   Does that about sum up your findings, Sherlock?

These non-calls just keep coming and they're always egregious. A couple is understandable but damn.

I'd love to see more coverage on this by someone that can get the NFL to comment. That'd never happen though.

The non calls on the holding doesn’t bother me, seems like they pretty much let them play on both sides regarding that. It’s the blatant mugging going on by that highly disciplined team  And the blowing the play dead on an obvious td run. Those six points would have come in pretty handy since we only lost by four.

the non holding calls on the OL were annoying, but I don't think in any Jags playoff game this year there was a OL called for holding on either team

probably wrong, but they were definitely letting them play. its the PIs right in front of the ref that make my blood boil

The NFL has no integrity.

The shield is meaningless and should be peed on by players all the time. Get DUIs, get in fights with women.. who cares, the league doesn't have honor, integrity, ethics, morality....

Lots of people are dismissing the idea of a "rigged" NFL, not because there is no evidence of bias or disparity in the way games are called, but because "so many people would have to be in on it, they could never keep it secret". Which is total BS, since NFL HQ in NYC are the ones confirming or overturning any controversial calls. The decisions are made by nameless faceless persons heavily invested in the status quo. I can think of no system more rife for abuse or bias.

But I have also seen little discussion on the human nature of the game officials. Any calls that do not favor the Patriots will be accompanied by boos from the 65,000 fans along with dirty looks and complaints from the greatest coach and QB of all time. Not to mention having a whole section of the USA hating the individual referee forever. But any calls that do not favor the Jags will be cheered by 65,000 fans and accompanied by smiles and pats on the back from the famous coach and QB. The ref has a wonderful day if the calls favor the Pats, and maybe the worst day of his life if the calls favor the Jags.

NFL officiating is egregious and completely inconsistent.
Shocker, right?
But, this is nothing new. It's been this way for decades.
Just a couple big games that I can remember right away:
-The Superbowl Pittsburgh vs Seattle? Oh wow,, Seattle got screwed.
- Dallas vs Detroit in the playoffs a few seasons back. Detroit got screwed on a terrible non-call at the end, allowing the Cowboys to advance.

Officiating has been absolutely terrible forever. The entire week prior to the AFCC game, every single media show I watched had at least one or two analysts say "You know NE is gonna get the calls", etc. Every single show. It was going to be a known issue for the game. Everyone knew it.

I had a real problem (like everyone else) with the calls/non-calls in the secondary and blowing turnovers dead.

What I don't take too much issue with is the non-calls along the line of scrimmage. Yes, there were blatant holds and grabbing on some key plays. However,, Jax didn't get called for a single hold along their O-line either.

I scrolled through the play-by-play on NFL.com for all three Jags playoff games. Unless I just scrolled too fast and missed something, I didn't see one holding penalty at all for the Jags O-line (I'm sure I didn't see any for the AFCC).

If we're gonna be honest with ourselves, do we really think the Jags O-line didn't grab and hold on any of their plays during these games? Really? Is the Jags O-line the most disciplined in the entire league when it comes to that?
I find it highly unlikely that the Jags played perfectly on offense and didn't get away with any grabbing/holding.

We for sure know the Pats got away with it. But, I'm sure the Jags did too. I think the refs were just letting them go in the trenches (both sides).

The only penalties I could find were a false start on Cam (vs NE), an illegal shift (vs NE), and a false start on Linder (vs Buff).

As stated, the rest of the officiating was absurd. But, it was expected, and has been happening for years. It's sickening, but unfortunately it's just "part of it."

I'm still not over the officiating in the Lions-Cowboys playoff game 3 seasons ago.  Not to mention some horrific officiated regular season games involving my favorite team. 

I certainly understand and respect the array of emotions Jaguars fans are going through from the recent AFC Championship game.   When a team doesn't win a game because officiating had a substantial impact in the outcome,  it can even be more difficult to deal with than in a case when your team gets slaughtered in a game.
