He not only was one of the top 3 recievers in reception yards but he was 4th in TD receptions. He also was the main catalyst in the Chargers turnaround; five of his six TD receptions and five of his seven 100-yard games came in the last seven weeks, when the Chargers went 6-1. All this after going down with a torn ACL in the 2016 season opener and missing all of that year. Simply put, the Chargers do not make their late season charge (no pun intended) without him. The fact that he won in a landslide by a vote of fellow players speak volumes. As for the other awards, I don't doubt that at least one or more of them should have gone the Jags' way, but comeback player of the year wasn't one of them.

Campbell was the Defensive MVP. He was a monster all year. I think Ramsey could get it next year.

We got snubbed but you could make the same argument for the Eagles with Doug Pederson. Fletcher Cox has been just as good at the position as Aaron Donald has been. It's not that the NFL hates Jacksonville. It's just the fact that a lot of sportswriters are from the California and New York market and so they favor their own markets. L.A was unable to put a lot of fans in seats last year. So it's natural for them to lean towards them to kind of hype them up a bit.
I still think what Doug Marrone did with this team was vastly more impressive than what we saw in L.A last year. Maybe 2018 will be this city's year and this team's year. The Eagles finally won one. Maybe we'll get ours next. Who knows... ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. Once the Jags have made a few playoff runs (and hopefully grabbed a Lombardi trophy along the way) , the names will become more nationally known and the accolades will follow.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

I mean Donald won DMVP, Gurley won OMVP and McVay got COTY. 3 Rams, you would think they went 15-1!! I get we are a smaller market and even us having such a strong year still doesn't quite give us the recognition. That's fine, this team does quite well with being overlooked.
