Barkley is a unicorn running back. Perfect blend of talent/intangibles/skillset/athletiscm.    

And he's still not as valuable as an elite franchise QB.  Which is what you believe a guy will be if you take him #1 overall.

Colts are not taking a QB.

If the Browns feel really good about both Rosen and Darnold, You take Barkley at 1.

Or maybe try and work out a trade with the Giants so you get 1 and 2.

What if a team trades up with the Colts at 3 to leapfrog the Browns?

IF Barkley and a QB are equal then you take the QB.  If there is a big discrepancy that is different but if you were considering taking the QB at 4 then you take him at 1.

No but they are prime candidates for a team wanting to trade up.    

Take the QB you like the most and think will be an elite franchise QB at #1. Don't let that guy have any hope of slipping, why? Because he's so much more important than any running back.. especially for a franchise that's needed a QB more than any other.

The way I see it.

Browns biggest need? QB.
Most valuable position in football? QB
Least valuable position on offense or defense ? RB
Best depth of talent in this year's class? RB

I'm hoping we come out of this draft with either DJ Chark or Antonio Calloway, both of these guys ooze upside and will likely be better pros than college players. I wouldn't mind using our 1st round pick on a guy like Chark, he won't be there in the 2nd.

It's hard to find receivers that big that run that fast, Daniel Jeremiah had him pegged as a top 50 pick before the combine. Considering his blazing fast 40 (at 6'3) its not out of the realm of possibilities that he sneaks into the 1st round. He brings a different element to an offense, his upside is through the roof. Of course a lot of what the Jags are going to do at that position depends on A-Robs situation, if he returns (I'm expecting him to) then the odds of the Jags using a 1st rd pick on a receiver are slim to none.

I currently have Chark going at #35. He's probably the fastest riser of any player in the draft. Too bad he came from a run first system with a completely inept QB. This kid is checking all the boxes and may sneak into round 1. He might be the best WR in this draft class. I'm looking for us to take a WR in that 4th round range and my favorite at that spot is Allen Lazard. He's big, has decent speed and athleticism. He has big hands, runs very good routes and he catches everything thrown his way. He reminds me a bit of Allen Robinson, just a little faster.

His biggest knock is “lack of explosiveness” and struggles to get off press man coverage. Kind of concerning considering he’s a big guy.
