Walterfootball (I know, I know) gave the Norwell signing an A- grade called it a "great move". Considering how much they hate DC and the Jaguars, that's interesting.

FWIW, they gave the Watkins signing a C grade and the Allen Robinson deal a C+ grade.

Just as a sub-plot to mention, I’m a big fan of how we reward undrafted talent with big contracts.  It sets a precedent that we value work and production over pedigree.

One of my favorite aspects of our All-League secondary last year was that we had our star stud Ramsey, yet Bouye, Gipson, & Church were all originally undrafted.  Crazy.

Another mind-numbing stat: Norwell was the only Olineman in football last year to not allow a single sack or pressure (what?!? Not even a pressure?!? Granted that’s from PFF and they’re iffy on OL evaluations, but [BLEEP] if true.  That’d be one of the most dominant years an Olineman has ever had in the NFL, and with an unpredictable QB to block for in Cam.)

That’s beyond nuts if he went 16 games without allowing a pressure and also graded as a top 5 run blocker.

Those are like imaginary stats.

PFF rated Linder as our top-rated player over Ramsey and the rest of them. When I watch the tape I see Linder always doing his job and literally placing defenders wherever he wants them. He's highly underrated even locally, and I can only imagine what Linder and Norwell could do playing next to each other. This should be a great Jaguars season.

RG is up in the air. I'd rather see Omameh there than Cann so I'm hoping he re-signs. Instead of drafting an OL early, we'd be looking at...

This would be a very effective OL, and something like $2 mil per might be enough to keep Omameh.

I like this move a lot.  It's possible we manage to go QB early as well now.  

Probably our first 3 picks will be OG, TE, QB in any order.

I can totally see Falk or Litton being there late in the third round for the Jaguars.  I can also see them going nickel there if we don't re-sign Colvin.

I would agree if our oline wasn't already fine, but I think it was. We were 10th in yards created before contact in the run game and also 10th in pressures allowed per dropback or something like that (it was an NGS stat I forget exactly what it was but we were good). If our top 5 pick RB can't excel behind an already above average line...

I just think we're going to see some diminishing returns with Norwell. Going from above average to good at oline isn't going to be the same from going from below average to good at QB or receiving corps. But like I said it's fine Norwell will obviously help.

Given Fournette's style of play, a road-grading guard could have significant impact on this offense.

I dunno man, PFF has us graded even higher than NGS did. I think we were actually just a good run blocking team. I think Fournette's low YPC was more his doing as the olines. Yeldon and Grant had no problem racking up a whopping 5.5 YPC combined.

Malik Jackson was playing lights out leading up to the playoffs and throughout, he was absolutely causing havoc in the backfield.

All 79 of their total carries combined? Including those fake punts that Grant ran? Sweet.

Yeldon racked up most of that against an absolutely dreadful Colts rush defense. The Jags rushing totals were very skewed and they needed to improve the Oline and got arguably the best guard in the game.
