A Faster Offense?

#1

40 times:

WR's:
Shane Wynn:  4.29 (2018 re-signing after 1 year IR)
Dede Westbrook:  4.34
Donte Moncrief:   4.40 (2018 FA signing)
Jayden Mickens: 4.51
Marquis Lee: 4.52
Rashad Greene:  4.53
Allen Hurns: 4.55
Keelan Cole: 4.64

TE
Niles Paul: 4.45 (2018 FA signing)
Austin Seferian-Jenkins: 4.56 (2018 FA signing)
Ben Koyak: 4.72
Marcedes Lewis: 4.8

RB:
Corey Grant: 4.19
Leonard Fournette: 4.51
Yeldon:  4.52

Our receiving core is faster. Probably Moncrief will be the deep threat receiver? Tight End position is intriguing.  We have some guys now that could be threats as move TE's.  And Fournette posted the fasted run in a game last year, so his 40 time isn't all telling. And,  if Corey Grant is utilized more now that Ivory is gone,  he should be busting loose regularly. I like what is going on here. Should be more difficult to defend against.

It's a Coughlin thing. (though Caldwell is outspoken about speed also)

Coughlin is no Al Davis - but he's always valued speed highly

Having both TEs and WRs with speed, it keeps the safeties mindful of getting beat deep, and gets them out of the box. This speed should assist in the running game.

I love this. What's great is that the FO was reasonably quiet when compared to other teams.. them BAM... we load up on decent talent.

Very excited for the season coming.

80% of what I talk about is nonesense.. the other 25% is made up statistics...

Bruh, Lewis ain't running a 4.8 these days. But on a serious note, we have plenty of speed.

At his pro day, Grant was clocked from 4.25 to 4.30, 4.28 at combine.

Lol...we know he ain't running that now. All the 40 times posted above are from a combine or pro day. I would be interested to see what he would be clocked at now. If he weren't as tall as a giraffe, he wouldn't be on the field.

The 4.19 stat was an unofficial time at his pro day. Granted it's not the average of all the clocks on him. But it might not be far from the truth.

Have you guys nevet seen the video of him running in a game with pads on, and he was calculated as having ran the equivalency of 4.02 40 yard dash.

That helps - but it's his blocking that has kept him around more so than his height.

It was nice that Hackett finally took advantage of that well least season though.
