If we trade back and get Teddy I could deal with but if we stay at 3 we have to take Manziel, Clowney, or Bortles. And in that order.

This reminds me of my thread about an anonymous AFC scout saying Teddy is a second rounder partly because he is "small" for a quarterback despite being almost 6-3. That was a popular one.

Jags Fan-32...care to expound on that weak arm part?  He might not have the strongest arm ever but I never felt his arm was weak.  Also I love how people harp on him being "skinny" like he will never gain a pound for the rest of his playing career...

Why don't you ask a 10 year old to explain Quantum Physics to you? You're more likely to get a legit answer.

Why didn't that happen with Luck and RG3?

 

The Colts said shortly after cutting Peyton Manning they wanted Andrew Luck. The year before, the Panthers basically said, "If Andrew Luck decides to come out early, he is our #1 pick." So everyone knew all of the lies in the world would not make him slide.

With the exception of Vagrantwade and TMD, no one else annoited Bridgewater as "elite".  We just strongly believe that he has a very good chance -- and the best chance of this QB class -- to be a franchise guy.

I think Teddy is the safest pick but I think Bortles and Manziel have much higher ceilings.

Bortles, maybe, but I doubt it.  The only reason why Bortle's stock is rising is because the two other QBs similar to him -- Mariota and Hundley -- decided to stay.  Manziel, no.

This isn't necessarily breaking news.  Someone else reported the same thing a week or two ago, citing a scout from our very own AFC South (if I recall correctly.)

 

Really... just look at the child and imagine him as a top QB in the NFL.  I personally just don't see it.

 

Taking a look at the school and the system he comes from, you certainly aren't talking about an NFL QB factory by any means.  Yes, there are many questions behind the stats that to me look like a lot of smoke and mirrors.
