Oh, c'mon....this is crazy!....

per rotoworld:
ccording to NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah, "several teams" don't view Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater as a first-round talent. Jeremiah is a well-sourced former scout, so we doubt he's reaching. Although it's surprising to hear that "several" teams are questioning Bridgewater's first-round credentials, "several" could still mean only three or four clubs. Consensus is rare for any player, especially quarterbacks. Despite some outlier views, we still fully expect Bridgewater to be a first-round pick We show less advertisements to registered users. haha wow. Personally I'm getting excited. Let the media prop up Manziels draft stock, let the Browns trade up for Him.
We get Teddy or Clowney. Im down. Jeremiah is sketch. He has us taking Watkins over Bridgewater and Manziel in his recent mock.
1st round? Yes, top 3? No. I don't really think its that crazy though.
If we trade back and get Teddy I could deal with but if we stay at 3 we have to take Manziel, Clowney, or Bortles. And in that order. I think Teddy is a 1st round talent but not top 10, I would say mid 1st

This reminds me of my thread about an anonymous AFC scout saying Teddy is a second rounder partly because he is "small" for a quarterback despite being almost 6-3. That was a popular one. Bridgewater is skinny with a weak arm pocket passer. Manziel is a better prospect.
Guys, maybe this "Teddy is a SURE franchise QB" was premature?

Quote:Guys, maybe this "Teddy is a SURE franchise QB" was premature? Don't fall into the trap. This is what happens when teams at the bottom of the 1st round like a prospect at the top and try to spread mis-information to aid in getting a prospect at the top to slide in the draft closer to their picks. Quote:Don't fall into the trap. Why didn't that happen with Luck and RG3?

Jags Fan-32...care to expound on that weak arm part? He might not have the strongest arm ever but I never felt his arm was weak. Also I love how people harp on him being "skinny" like he will never gain a pound for the rest of his playing career...

You're more likely to get a legit answer.
I agree with those teams. I think Bridgewater is good, but I agree that his value is overblown.
I think he will be an above average QB if he can stay healthy against NFL talent. I don't think he will be the "anointed elite one" that so many have declared.

Quote:Why didn't that happen with Luck and RG3? The Colts said shortly after cutting Peyton Manning they wanted Andrew Luck. The year before, the Panthers basically said, "If Andrew Luck decides to come out early, he is our #1 pick." So everyone knew all of the lies in the world would not make him slide.
Quote:I agree with those teams. I think Bridgewater is good, but I agree that his value is overblown. With the exception of Vagrantwade and TMD, no one else annoited Bridgewater as "elite". We just strongly believe that he has a very good chance -- and the best chance of this QB class -- to be a franchise guy.

Quote:I think Teddy is the safest pick but I think Bortles and Manziel have much higher ceilings.Bortles, maybe, but I doubt it. The only reason why Bortle's stock is rising is because the two other QBs similar to him -- Mariota and Hundley -- decided to stay. Manziel, no. Quote:Don't fall into the trap.TMD would you shut it? This is what we want. Let the media drop Bridgewaters stock, thats ok. I hear some people in the media think he is a 4th Round selection! Bridgewater is a poor excuse of a quarterback!
This isn't necessarily breaking news. Someone else reported the same thing a week or two ago, citing a scout from our very own AFC South (if I recall correctly.)
Really... just look at the child and imagine him as a top QB in the NFL. I personally just don't see it. Taking a look at the school and the system he comes from, you certainly aren't talking about an NFL QB factory by any means. Yes, there are many questions behind the stats that to me look like a lot of smoke and mirrors.
