Let's also put his stats in perspective. His first two seasons were at Tulane, and then he was out of football for a year before transferring to Nebraska last year. They weren't that good as a 4-8 team, and I'm sure that wasn't just on him. At any rate, we need to focus on his 2017 stats...
  • Tanner Lee, Nebraska (2017): 12 games, 246 of 428 (57.5%) for 3,143 yards (7.3 YPA), 23 TDs and 16 INTs for a 129.4 qb rating
These aren't that bad. They look worse when you bring up his Tulane stats, but there's no telling what went on there... how was his protection, etc?

His protection seemed on par with an average college team. But good point. He didn't have a Cam Robinson blocking for him. And he wasn't throwing to WRs like Chark.

His arm stregnth is lit. He has a live arm.

As a Nebraska fan, he'll go through stretches of plays where he's super accurate and legit looks like an NFL QB. Then he'll have stretches of pick 6s and head scratching throws.
Taking it to the top of the Modis building.

So basically we got Josh Allen, just didn't have to trade up in the first to get him

More like Tanner Lee future guy that's easy to cut when you need to trim down to 53.

Lee to lee ftw.

Also if Tanner Lee turns out to be Blake Bortles, then I'd say we got a steal. Cause Blake isn't awful. I mean we did kind of make it to a AFC Championship game with him. And no, he wasn't the major contributing factor, but it also wasn't in spite of him either.

The arm talent is legit.

Here’s another report on Lee...

“Two year starter at Tulane before transfering to Nebraska for a year. Great measurables, big arm and big frame, but has no feel for the game, doesn't recognise defenses and coverages, major project.”

I was truly joking with you but I guess you miss the LOL in my last message right? I understand you being defensive towards me when it come to the Blake Bortles situation so it's all good either way.

Dan Marino 2.0 with a stronger arm.  We found our future franchise QB.  Will be the steal of this draft with a Marino, elway, Favre type of career.

He does actually have a decent arm and release

Backup QBs were the only ones available to us in this draft.

That's exactly what we got.

If you were expecting more, you simply don't know football. You were wishing for something that was never there for us.

He can hold it, but if he puts it on his head and says " I am Batmaaaaan!", I'm gonna start worrying.
