Since essentially nobody EVER makes a supplemental draft selection, whoever the Jaguars pick will cost them a 2019 first round pick. Why not raid somebody else's roster for a proven first round-caliber talent? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! We'd probably have to go a round higher then we'd want to, but Caldwell isn't typically one to reach for players in the draft. lol @ 'finding' Ramsey, Jack, and Jackson. Everyone with a set of working eyes knew these guys were no-brainer superstars. I'll give you Yannick. Caldwell's decision to take him should not be dismissed. Does Caldwell not get credit for Telvin Smith, Bouye or Church? Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Oh really? https://www.thoughtco.com/supplemental-d...ss-1335579 Teams Express Interest After the order is determined, each team submits to the league the name of the player(s) they are interested in, as well as the round of the supplemental draft they would like to choose them in. The team that submits the highest bid is awarded rights to the player. If more than one team bids a pick from the same round, the team with the highest pick in the round wins. If a team uses a pick in the supplemental draft, it must forfeit its choice in the corresponding round of the next year's NFL draft. We show less advertisements to registered users. Correct. He was a first round talent who doctors felt had a shortened career (but they couldn't put a number on how short.)
The gamble was the value for the number of years on the career. No doubt he wasn't falling much farther. A lot of teams went with what they felt to be a safer pick in the first who likely also had their eye on him. I'm sure a lot of teams were ready to pull the trigger in the second.

Did you really think this was going to make you seem like you had a clue what you were talking about saying the team would give up a first rounder? If so, swing and a miss. Never argue with idiots. Per PFT:
Quote: 1. The Draft will continue until all players have been selected or seven rounds have been completed, whichever occurs first. Each round will last 10 minutes.

After all, Dante Fowler, Jr. was regarded as a steal by the front office. Yup better use a first rounder. It's not like the Jaguars JUST drafted a......SAFETY in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft.
