I mean ASJ made a couple of one handed catches, but I don't know if I would say that his speed sticks out like a sore thumb compared to Lewis. I am unsure what to think at this point either. Besides it being very early, you could say it's good because I haven't seen any disastrous plays from the starting offense. They are going against a very good defense, even without Ramsey. But should they be hitting more big plays because Ramsey is not there? Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

And his point was that average players from every team in that conference had their way with him. He's not saying Bryan is bad, he's just saying that Mcdermott is so bad that he makes everyone look good so take it with a grain of salt yk. Thanks for the writeup Bullseye, as usual always love your insight! hard to believe Ive been reading these for 10 years plus now haha
Championship Formula:
1) Draft Trevor Lawrence! 2) Play good physical Defense! 3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy! 4) ??? 5) Blank #2 6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!! We show less advertisements to registered users. Thanks for the post Bullseye. You put a lot of work into that.
I'm at work so I couldn't read most of it. How did Chark look We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Early on, he seemed to have problems cutting and I wondered if he was hurt. But he did fine the rest of the practice from what I saw. By the way, I intended to go to the practice today but had a minor emergency that precluded that. I intend to go to the Wednesday and Friday practices though. (07-28-2018, 10:50 PM)Bullseye Wrote: Chark seemed to pull up on a drill that required him to cut sharply to the left, and then he dropped a pass on an out route to the left hand side. I started to wonder if something was wrong with his ankle, he was having a bad start to practice, or he was more "straight linish" than thought/hoped. But later he showed no discernible signs to me that he had issues cutting, and later in the drills he caught a pass thrown behind him on a crossing type route. I noticed during the first few days of camp that most of Chark's passes came from Kessler which has me thinking he's starting out behind the rest of the pack. This much is expected for a rookie, but now I'm starting to think he needs considerable developing which is something I recall thinking back when first watching film of him in college. He's deceptively fast, however, there's not much crispness in his route running. Of course, he's making the roster, but I suspect we'll be seeing him on the inactive list for the most part unless guys are injured. Of course, with Moncrief and Lee both on the roster, the chances for him to see action due to injury are pretty darn good.

While he looks big and got good height on his kicks, the abiding sense I have seeing him for the first time is that we will be getting another punter before the year is out. Of all of the punts he had, only one even came close to looking like one of those spiraling kicks that turn over and really flip the field. most of his punts were wobblers, with a few even looking like kickoffs from a tee. The one punt he really nailed was bobbled by Greene. Free agent punters...

I don't expect Tanner Lee to make it to the regular season roster or the PS. He was just a bad selection. Kessler should have the backup position locked down unless we add someone before the season. Hopefully, Cooke can get it together. I was not a fan at all of using a draft pick on a punter, but never the less, we need him to produce. They are starting to look like two wasted draft picks (Nortman wasn't the greatest, but he wasn't that bad), and I'm starting to wonder if Chark was really the best possible pick in round two.

I'm thinking it was against Josh Wells. He bull rushed the OL back a bit for what seemed like a win, but he got so low that the OL was able to push him to the ground to conclude his rush. It makes me wonder if Tavon likes the taste of dirt.

I did not discern any rub or pick action in their routes, though it is possible I missed it given the angle. LOL. This goes against all expectations. First, Marrone mentioned last year that he wanted the WRs to learn the outside first, but here we have two rookies inside in the very first practices. Moreover, neither is diminutive as these are our two tall guys. Chark stand 6' 2 7/8" (as in a true 6' 3"), and Lazard stands an almost mind-blowing 6' 4 5/8".

I thought Meeks was a CB. The official roster does list some guys as a DB who maybe could play either spot, but they have Meeks listed as a CB, and his draft profile shows him as a top-15 CB in the last draft. Are you talking about him potentially converting from backup CB to starting FS?

Yes. The biggest weakness in his game based on all I have been able to research is his lack of deep recovery speed. Having him aligned deep off the ball would mitigate that weakness, while still enabling him to play to his obvious strength of making plays on the ball. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
I was just wondering, for those of you attending practices, has Will Richardson exclusively lined up at OT or is he seeing any time inside at RG?

I haven't been to camp, but I've heard nothing of him at RG, only OT. By all accounts, Cann is killing it at RG right now.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
