President willing to meet with Iran with no preconditions

Sounds like a repeat from nine years ago, but it isn't.
Personally, I think talking to enemies is fine, as long as secrets aren't revealed, but I also thought it was fine nine years ago. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/07/...tions.html
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Sound like Nancy Pelosi that the working man get stiffed with "crumbs" But back on topic I'd rather engage them (Iran) in a meaningful conversation them have another war break out. Although I know we could pound them back to the stone age in nothing flat ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
It’s a good thing to reach out to these “hostile” countries. Really, all countries. Diplomacy takes effort. Can’t just slap a country onto “the list” and expect positive change.

I’ve had issues with each President going back to Carter. But if I’m being honest, Obama was a great talker and down to earth, but absolutely shameful in most other areas. Trump is a horrible public figure but his policies and unorthodox approach are actually getting results. Can’t image what it would be like with just a little bit of cooperation. Anyways, Every country should have a chance at diplomacy until all reasonable options are exhausted. What is not necessarily unique about Iran is that their government hates and has hated the US for decades. They also brag about supporting terroristic activity in the region. They have made it clear that nothing short of a new Persian Empire is their goal. Diplomacy is a two way street and they only want it one way; their way. Let me be clear that their elected government is usually not as abrasive as their religious leaders. The Iranian people are also pretty awesome. It is the religious leadership tends to get Iran knee deep in trouble. Currently, there is not much wiggle room in U.S./Iran diplomacy. If they make a false move in the Gulf in regards to Saudi Arabia or the Gulf of Hormuz straight, there will be a brief, yet powerful [BLEEP] whoopin’ that would put the 1980’s to shame. In my opinion, JCPOA was foolish at best and all parties knew there was no real substance except allowing Iran to turn on the cash flow again. I like what Trump is doing with telling Iran to come talk with no preconditions. He is placing the ball in Irans court and within global view. He is basically saying come tells us what your issues are and what will it take to get both nations in good standing with one another. No strings attached. It’s always easy to scream foul and complain but takes effort to identify and address the real issues. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
