Jalen Ramsey Suspended for One Week (Update: Fowler Suspended too)

#81

Fowler deserved it. Ramsey(unless other things took place) should have been told to simply shut his mouth and play football. Hes trying his hardest to become and diva and its not a good look for him. You are one of the best corners in the league, shut up and act humble.

Is anyone surprised that Yannick was able to get passed the defender and sprint towards Fowler, while Dante was easily held back?

LOL! That's actually pretty funny!

I'm more interested in what stemmed the altercations between Fowler and Ngakoue..... The video made it seem very personal.

Ngakoue's work ethic is outstanding. He's busting his [BLEEP] in the gym and film room while Fowler is out getting busted in dumb [BLEEP] situations. Like I said. I'll be glad when this punk [BLEEP] is gone after this season.

He has been somewhat of a cancer on the team and out in public so yes I would consider a trade if one was available.

Trade him for what? What team is going to give up a draft pick for said cancer, coming off a mysterious shoulder injury, in his final contract year, who’s already been suspended for week one stemming from last years issues? His value is on this team, at least for this year. Best case scenario is that we hope he has a career year here, signs a fat contract elsewhere, and we get to collect the compensatory pick, which depending on how much he signs his new contract for, can be as high as a 3rd rounder.

That would be very impressive for the two series he'll play.

I'm sure he's broken hearted about not practicing against another team and risking injury.

And naturally if that happens you'll be soiling yourself for a solid week!  Awesome!

You'd be surprised what NFL teams would be willing to pay for a solid pass rusher, even one with "issues." Pass rushers are at a premium in this league.

I don't see any issue with him staying in the tunnel. Heck, he's actually staying within the rules by doing so unlike other protesters who are holding fists up and practically promoting violence as their means to protest violence. Those dimwits are publically disrespecting the flag, and why? If their issue is so huge, where were their protests throughout the offseason? At any rate, if you must protest, do it by staying off the field and not disrespecting the flag.  In my book, Ramsey should be praised here for setting a good example.

Praised for deciding not to show respect for the flag of his country? The flag that tens of thousands died to protect? Sorry, can’t agree with you there.

Ugh... time to set the troll traps I guess.

This is silly.
A slap on the wrist to be suspended for preseason anything.

Pshh... This is TC saying "kids chill, or you'll be in time out, period"
Ain't worried bout either one of these guys and all the flailing and crazy "errrhmergerd wut ta do bout fowlerz" is silly.
Dude wasn't gonna be a Jag after this year likely anyway. He'll play out his contract for whatever days he isn't suspended and will probably give us another 8 or 9 sacks. And be someone else's problem.

Jalen is such a talent at CB dude can stay in the tunnel, take a knee, take two knees, do the hokey pokey, and tell every reporter he sees that they are a piece of crap and I wouldn't care honestly.
But even still... it isn't a good look on the Jags org. to be going after the media a la Trump via Twitter.

I think he'll reel it in, just enough. But don't expect Jalen to stop being Jalen.

Dude stop....
do you stand at attention with hand over heart at the house when you're watching?

What if you're in the bathroom, do you pinch it off?

By staying in the tunnel they are trying to not be a distraction. You wouldn't have even known had guys like DiRocco not reported on it.

It isn't disrespect to the flag of the country to decide to not be on the field for the national anthem. Period.
(It really isn't disrespect to kneel either, it's just dumb--kinda like a rule bout not wearing hats or placing a hand over an area of your chest where your heart is, kind of.)
But I digress, cuz... not the forum for all that.

If you have time the video posted earlier in this thread is really descriptive about it, way more than anything you'll read on espn/nfl websites.

Anyways Ngakoue said something to end the skirmish earlier in practice between Fowler/O'Shaunessy to Fowler. Fowler wasn't happy about that and called out Ngakoue later on, leading to the fight you see on the video and Jalen yelling at camera guy. Marrone calls team together, they end up going to locker room. While going to locker room Ngakoue and Fowler fight again. Players close gates so theres no video of it. So apparently they fought twice about it, even after Marrone called the team together. Marrone/TC/Caldwell do not like that stuff and I am SURE had Yannick been wrong in any way Yannick would have been hit with a week suspension. This clearly is a message that Dante was all in the wrong.
