Honestly not sure what Kaepernick proved last night aside he wasn't very good. Neither QB was that impressive, both teams have stacked defense which make them who they are.

That said, if we can get a guy like Wilson in the 3rd and stack our D I'd be very happy

 

And I don't have a problem with mobile QBs. I like RGIII (Shanahan screwed him over imo), Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers etc.

The worst plays he made in the game were when he scrambled.

The two games yesterday were such an obvious contrast of the old, Brady/Manning, and the new, Wilson/Kaep. I thought both of the old guys looked a little played, Brady had no downfield touch and Manning's passes were often wobbly and certainly not as crisp as we've seen in the past.

 

OTOH, the new guys brought energy and unpredictability. I am more of an old school guy but I enjoyed the NFC game more. I want the Jags to draft a pocket guy but...I have come around to not only being OK with Manziel but even with liking the idea.

He plays how I play qb in madden. Constantly back pedaling and then hoping to beat defenders to the edge. He's going to have to fix that if he wants to stay successful.

I was listening to NFLN other day, and one of the analyst said mobile QB's will only have a career lifespan of 6-7 years as opposed to pocket passers having a career of 10-15 years with good a OL.

No. All it proved was they have a lot of maturing to do before becoming elite passers. They will have to learn to stay in the pocket and make plays. It is not necessary to take off every time. Both QBs have time to grow because of their defenses.

Haven't warmed up to QB's that rely more on their mobility.  Every time Russell Wilson ran back too far, I wanted to scream at him for doing so.  Kapernick made a lot of mistakes.  Wilson made some as well.  Wilson's playoff game last week wasn't impressive either.  He's got some work to do.  I think the Seahawks are going to find it hard in the Super Bowl against an Elite Passer.

Thread is pointless. Colin starting to get a bad rep as a passer and Wilson made one good play from scrambling. Manziel is a much better thrower than both and youre drunk if you think we would use him like Colin.
