Do or Die Year For The Tarp Kitties in 2018?
|
It looks like 2018 is a do or die year for you guys. Take a sobering look at your cap for the next two years.
https://overthecap.com/salary-cap-space/ You are already $3 million over the cap for next year, with 40 players signed. For 2020 you have $7 million in cap space, as it stands. Which might sound okay but that is with only 26 players. Sure, you will get some relief with some cap space rolling over from this year. and the cap will go up, but not that much. The FA spending will catch up with you. Enjoy it while you can https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gCjJC_INNE We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
lulz... you worried bro or nah?
Don't worry about our cap. Worry about Ms. Mary holding together for a full season.

From, the team that could manage only six points on us? (10-01-2018, 12:46 PM)The Hammer Wrote: The FA spending will catch up with you. You should probably check out the contract structure of our FA signings. They all contain out clauses after two or three years. Millions of dollars in space can be cleared following the 2018 and 2019 seasons by exercising these "team outs." The Jags will be just fine with the cap - especially if they keep drafting so well. For instance, next year they'll save 6.2 million by taking the out clause on Barry Church's contract and promoting (then) second year safety Ronnie Harrison to his spot. This front office has been meticulous with these signings and the details therein. You just haven't done any homework before trolling today.

Am I the only one that's weirded out by how active Tennessee fans are on this site? Now they are analyzing our payroll and throwing it in our face (without having a clue what they are talking about). Every thread is littered with Tennessee fans... can we set them up with a message board of their own? I would donate to a GoFundMe to make this happen. Read the whole post before responding, genius. They have this thing every year in the National Football League called "the draft." Teams are allowed to sign players that are leaving the NCAA to turn pro. It's pretty cool. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! It can be fixed somewhat easy. You cut Marcell Dareus, Barry Church, Niles Paul. That saves you 19 million. You could consider cutting Saferian-Jenkins if he continues to not produce which would open up another 5 million but you keep 2 million in dead cap. DJ Hayden is an option to free up 2 million but you pay him 5 million in dead cap. Dareus can be replaced primarily by Jones but also could see more Campbell playing DT. Barry Church can be replaced by Ronnie Harrison. Niles Paul is easily expendable and replaceable. there are other moves that can be done too. I am not to worried about it.

He's blocking better than most expected and he hasn't really been schemed into the passing game much yet - probably having something to do with playing through injury. Expect him to be a redzone target for Blake down the stretch. Remember he'd have two TDs right now if not for a stupid penalty away from the ball erasing one of them.
