How would you feel about McCarron in the 3rd, and Brett Smith in the 5th?

How would you feel about drafting 2 QBs? You could possibly switch out Brett Smith for Jimmy G, who has been impressing at the Senior Bowl.

I really like Brett Smith, though. The potential is massive for a 5th round pick. Opinions?

How would I feel about drafting two QB's?  Great.

How would I feel about drafting McCarron in the 3rd and Smith in the 5th?  Terrible.  Not a fan of either guy.

If Teddy is out of the equation, give me Jimmy G. in round three and Aaron Murray with one of 5th rounders.

Where do you project him being drafted? I respect your opinions more than others around here. It seems like you actually do your homework.

3rd or 4th round, he could sneak into the second if there's a run on QBs though. He does a lot of good things and has obvious upside, and I wouldn't be surprised if he goes before McCarron who a lot of people view as a game manager type.

like deja vu

I'll take one or the other as the 2nd QB taken, but would hate it to take both of them and put all the eggs in both of them.

No times infinity to McCarron. Don't want him. I want someone hungry and their head isn't floating into space (i.e won 3 college football championships and dating Miss whatever). I'm liking the idea of going after Murray. He's shown consistent numbers against great competition and has a great upside. But the injury could be a concern (not familiar with the specifics of it). I like the fact that he didn't think the Senior Bowl was beneath him and showed up to do what he can. Plus, I'm leaning towards our high picks being for other positions than the QB now. I really would like getting Watkins and Ford in the first 2. Watkins, possibly Blackmon, Shorts, and Sanders as our WR core. :o just need a good QB to throw them the ball, but maybe Murray or Gallapaducusasaurus lol can do that?

Excited to see what happens though Smile

I'd take Mettenberger before I even considered McCarron.

Smith is an interesting prospect.

McCarron is a seventh rounder now that he decided not to participate in the Senior Bowl. I don't think he's draftable anymore.

Mettenberger

Fales

Garappolo

Matthews

Garoppolo is not going to be there in the fifth round. He's a second round QB.

As for drafting two, no, that's stupid.

Drafting 2 QB is not stupid. Drafting 2 QB of similar perceived success rates is.

They should draft one of the top rated QB this year and also another developmental prospect on day 3 of the draft.

Was it stupid for the Jags to draft Rob Johnson after they already traded for Brunell and signed Beuerlein? Uh, No.

Why waste picks on 2 mid round QBs? Just draft one, sign and Vet and keep Matt Scott and sign another UDFA QB.

5th round picks are valuable, may in the 7th round where u might not wanna lose a guy,
