Coughlin blasts Fournette and Yeldon behaviour

This. All the this. This times infinity plus two.

Doug Moron lost the respect of this team weeks ago, and this is just making it abundantly clear. I wouldn't be surprised if there's more to this than the cameras showed, like Fournette refusing to dress or Yeldon refusing to take the field. Even if there isn't, again, why are we keeping a coach who commands so much respect that two players openly insult him on national TV by sitting around doing nothing? If this were a Coughlin-coached team, those two would have had to scoop their man-parts off the field as they ran for the locker room.

Their lack of character and caring are on them. They’re grown men. He was right to call them out. I already was disappointed in how Fournette has comported himself this year. Time to cut bait on his fragile, immature self. But I had hoped not to see that from Yeldon.

Marrone is fine. We just need some changes on the staff.

We are in the same situation now. We will reach on a QB next year and be done for the next 10 years because of it.

Hopefully the Jags can trade Fournette for a 3rd, and draft Josh Jacobs or Bryce Love

Ok tough guy.....

One of the two people they announced is staying drafted the guy. It was horrible pick even at the time. There is zero accountability and it shows.

So the only time accountability happens is when someone gets fired?

Even if LF never does anything more for the Jags, he's still ahead of Derrick Harvey just from last season. Luke Joeckel was also less productive, as was Justin Blackmon.

If you are basing it on who we could have taken instead, then Matt Jones over Aaron Rodgers was just as bad. And there's no guarantee that Mahomes or Rodgers (or Brady if you want to really use hindsight) would have flourished under the Jags coaching staff.

But I agree that drafting a RB high in the first round in the current NFL was a stupid idea.

No, it also happens when contracts are extended after a successful season.

In the business world, yes.

We should be in good shape to get one of the two top qbs in the draft. I wouldn’t worry about reaching this time.

In reality, I can't see them trading LF this year. I think TC may be attempting to light a fire. He is cheap and if he gets in shape with our OL back in tack and a new QB, he could be above average.

It's rare you see a player blasted like that by the front office.

Fournette is officially in TCs dog house and may well find himself in another teams medical room all of next year

I disagree. If a person were fired every time they failed, there would be no seasoned executives. Compensation, stricter oversight, face to face confrontation, narrower job description. There are many ways accountability happens in the real world. Not just firing.

I hope the intensity lasts through the whole offseason. It can't be just by the coaches. The leaders need to step up and fix the communication issues, penalties, too much talking, etc. No clue if there are any leaders on offense though, when Bortles and LF are your captains you have a lot of issues.

No. Gabbert is more or less untouchable in that area right now. We gave up a second round pick to jump up for him. Derrick Harvey has to be in that conversation as well. Soward gets a pass because he was picked at the bottom of round one instead of in the top ten.

*Edit: And Blackmon. I wouldn't call him the worst because he was a dominant receiver...for the year or so that he was able to stay clean.
