Indy Get A 4th Round Compensatory Pick For Moncrief.
|
This, along with Alan Robinson's stellar play, shows how badly the front office screwed up our WR situation. It's bad enough that we could have used the Moncrief money (plus choosing to let Lee go and using that money) to re-sign Robinson. But now, in getting Moncrief, we've given our division rival a 4th round pick. A 4th round pick to a team that hit on almost all of their draft picks last year.

They will use it on another lineman likely. (01-07-2019, 04:20 PM)JagFanFirst Wrote: This, along with Alan Robinson's stellar play, shows how badly the front office screwed up our WR situation. How bout this time next year, when some team signs him to a much lesser deal, he still under-performs, and we get no pick! You're welcome.
Thos front office does make some puzzling decisions at time. This is just another one added to the long list

How do you know they are getting a 4th rounder? Compensatory picks aren't given out until like Early March.

This is the article that is referenced - https://overthecap.com/projecting-the-20...ory-picks/ It's a projection by OTC, and they seemed to be accurate based on last year.
If the compensatory pick system was fair, we'd get the 4th round pick in compensation for signing him.

It's frustrating, but you may want to reassess Robinson's play this past season. "Stellar" is not where I'd land on that one. We show less advertisements to registered users.
