Quote:This Econo-Jaguars mentality is really old. It's got us nothing as long as it's been around. It serves no interest other than leading the league in cap space and six-consecutive non-winning seasons.lol, u are so lost We show less advertisements to registered users. 2015 NFL Draft - Analyzing Targets www.jungle.jaguars.com/index.php?/topic/7892-2015-nfl-draft-analyzing-targets/
Cool article on NFL.com. Daniel Jeremiah believes there are potentially six first rounders at the Senior Bowl:
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000...strounders There was also this wonderful tidbit: Quote: Final thought I just hope those coordiantors don't bring him down. Definitely something a Bill O'Brien or Chip Kelly level hire could have fixed. Oh, for shame!
Quote:Cool article on NFL.com. Daniel Jeremiah believes there are potentially six first rounders at the Senior Bowl: LOL, you dismiss this as if those Coordinators won't be a boat anchor to what Gus is trying to build.
Quote:LOL, you dismiss this as if those Coordinators won't be a boat anchor to what Gus is trying to build. I think you're too early to write off Fisch. Babich has a history of mediocrity, but I think if he doesn't make strides this year, Gus isn't the type of guy to hang on to guys who don't get the job done (see, Mincey). We were much too talentless to evaluate much of anything last year, coaching wise, but Fisch intrigued me with his creativity and Gus obviously did a pretty good job. Take a deep breath and give it a year. You'll live longer! Mostly I just pull your leg because you get so bent out of shape and go ape poop every time stuff you don't like happens. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Fisch might not be as bad as Babich, but thats not saying that Fisch is good enough. I'm certainly not sold on Fisch. I think we had more talent on offense than 247 points for a season total would suggest. I think that total represents underperformance if even by 50-100 points. Our WR were good, Our RB were good, our TE's as a group were at least average. Gabbert was awful, but Henne was serviceable. 247 points is something you expect with the 2011 offense, where we had zero WR weapons worth a darn and a rookie QB starting all season.
Quote:I think in a few years, we will all be looking back on Bradley as the dominant coach of not only this division, but the league as a whole. From your lips to Gods ears.... I hope you're right. Would be fun to watch Jags football, if that would pan out. Quote:Fisch might not be as bad as Babich, but thats not saying that Fisch is good enough. I'm certainly not sold on Fisch. Our RBs were not good, our wide receivers were mediocre, our TE's were mediocre at best, and our QB play was awful. You can't expect any sort of progress with the guys we had behind center. You're trying way to hard to conjure up an argument against Fisch. Top to bottom, we had the rawest roster in the league. I guarantee our offense will improve by LEAPS AND BOUNDS in 2014. Guarantee. Quote:^ The Raiders would disagree. We could debate who has the absolute worst roster - but I don't think anyone in their right mind would try to argue that the Jags aren't in the bottom three. (so the point about Fisch having little to work with remains valid) I get why the knee-jerk crowd dislikes Fisch. The offense really struggled this season. I even question a handful of his in-game decisions. But I think that not only will he be a successful OC in Jacksonville - I think in less than 7 years he'll be a head coach in the NFL. I think he's got that head coach trait in his DNA.
I believe in Fisch. He's got a lot of fight in him. He's the kind of guy that will stay up all night thinking of new plays. Wait until our receivers develop more and we get an actual QB.
Quote:Our RBs were not good, our wide receivers were mediocre, our TE's were mediocre at best, and our QB play was awful. You can't expect any sort of progress with the guys we had behind center. I think our RB suffered from the ZBS a bit. I agree that MoJo of today ain't the MoJo of before; he's in decline...but I don't think he's totally done yet. I like Todman. By guaranteeing the offense will improve by "leaps and bounds", gimme a number - in regards to total points. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Fisch might be a HC in 7 years....doesn't necessarily means he's a good OC. I remember Dick Jauron flat out SUCKED here as DC....yet he somehow, someway parlayed that stint into a head coaching gig, too. Quote:Fisch might be a HC in 7 years....doesn't necessarily means he's a good OC.Obviously. But I clearly stated that I believe he will be a successful OC in that post. By successful - I mean he'll have the Jaguars offense performing in the top 10 teams statistically within 3 years from now. I think we are all aware that many coaches don't turn out to be successful in the NFL - and the vast majority of them were coordinators at one point. So we could make that statement about dozens of guys.

By successful - I mean he'll have the Jaguars offense performing in the top 10 teams statistically within 3 years from now. Even a mere top 10 ranking doesn't always tell the whole story.....Remember Mike Mularkey had a top 10 offense in Atlanta, and he was about to be fired until Gene saved the day. How Fisch's offense perform pointwise in playoff games, and vs other big games will go a long way in addition to a top 10 ranking for just how good of a OC I see him as.
Didn't see any of these posted, but here are a couple of wrap up videos:

They're from Wednesday, but for those who don't want to scour 20 pages, it's something.

I'm sure you'll find plenty that you don't like regardless. This conversation will have much more substance around Christmas time when he's completing his second campaign. I look forward to that debate. Quote:They're from Wednesday, but for those who don't want to scour 20 pages, it's something. Thanks! watching... |
