I don't think he wants to be remembered as the guy who handed Trump a second term, and I don't think the Democratic Party would stifle him this time around. He would have beaten Trump in 2016, and I think he stands a good chance of beating him in 2020, especially if Trump continues acting like a spoiled child when the House doesn't bend to his agenda.

I think we'll see a lot of the Democratic nominee attacking those states hard, probably reminding everyone about how "tax reform" under Trump has led to bigger checks written to the government and smaller refunds back to them.

My tax burden dropped by about 4% total. I got about 8% less withholding taken out each check and my refund was 3% lower than last year with no modifications. I can't really say its apples to apples though because I also got a 17% increase after the withholding change last Spring, so...thanks Trump.

Meh. On the one hand, what do they have to lose by putting Democrats up against each other on Fox, with no Republican candidates around to be favored? If anything, that'd be great for a candidate like Tulsi Gabbard, who has a strong conservative streak in her.

On the other, what happens if the Fox News moderator (surely Tucker Carlson or Laura Ingraham) sits there using the debate as an opportunity to ask questions that are thinly veiled attacks on the candidates and reminders of why Republican policies are so great?

At the end of the day, I don't care. Debates are choreographed, rigged popularity contests at this point.
