These additions make me feel like we didn't have anyone playing special teams last year.

We had a quite a few first-stringers (defense) playing ST last year.

I think DeCamillis is seriously looking to revamp his kick coverage unit.

Plus Telvin insurance if that situation gets weird and they don't want the rookie starting immediately. Although - none of these guys really seem like WILL position players.

Maybe Myles goes to will and the former Packer starts at mike.

Invitee LB Willie Harvey, Iowa State vs Minshew and Washington State.

At the end Harvey hits Minshew with a totally illegal helmet-to-helmet hit. Gotta get your head up Willie.

Yeah. It's possible, but I really think this staff wants to give Myles Jack a second year in the middle to evaluate if he's the future there or not.  His contract is coming up and where he's lining up will affect that number. Seems like they want him to succeed in the middle. (just my hunch/gut feeling)

If they move on from Telvin (still a mystery if that's really a possibility) then they've just drafted Williams at the Will position, so they don't have to move Jack outside if they still want him in the middle.

I think they want Telvn here with Quincy Williams learning behind him - ready to take over when necessary. Telvin is much easier to trade or cut next offseason due to contract. Better to get some value from him in 2019 if you can. He's more likely to show up ready to return to 2017 form than turn in another down year IMO.

Nagel would be a longshot backup slot receiver with punt return experience.
