I made it clear that I would not ... NOT trade Ramsey and we must fire the CLOWN Marrone.

For conversation purposes if forced to make a trade, I don't want no mid/late first rounder. I want a player. I know these deals rarely happen in the NFL, but that's what I'd want. Ramsey is a generational player at an elite position about to enter his prime. If the Chiefs want him, I want a deal centered around Kelce. Give me Kelce and your 1st rounder (30th overall- Pats winning the SB) for Ramsey. Redskins? I want Trent Williams and a 2nd rounder. I could go on, but yeah I wan't a valuable piece back.

One thing I see in this thread is that we all agree with Ramsey that the coaching staff should be out. My concern is that if the team makes this move after a player puts the screws to them then won't that set a bad precedent? Who will be the next guy? Is there someone out there that can guarantee wins? I'm starting to feel like the Jags are screwed either way this goes.

He needs to go. As much as I’d love to see the team NOT trade him and NOT renegotiate his contract and make him stay here against his will until he can enter free agency, I know he would be a constant hemorrhoid for this organization. Very concerning is the support he’s receiving from some of his teammates, which to me indicates that the problems won’t disappear when he does.

I wouldn’t want Kelce because I have faith in Oliver. Trent Williams is a tad too old for my liking, plus I like both of our tackles.

Maybe a Jamaal Adams, or Kamara. I just don’t see too many players out there in the same level as Ramsey in terms of talent and youth.

Here is my thing with Ramsey and let's take him at what he said.

1. He wants out because of how he's being used? This makes no sense to me. As I said in another thread. There is not 1 team in this league that runs man to man coverage, let alone press man EVERY play. You are going to play zone no matter what team you are on you are going to play some zone coverage during a game. Most teams run some version of cover 3, quarters, quarter halves vs Pro/Ace formations, so you are going to play zone.That's just a fact and he knows this. So to suggest that he's being misused to me is a cover up to whatever the REAL issue is. Now, can we run more man to man, I suppose, but, SHOULD we given we have Herndon opposite Ramsey and even when Bouye was playing given how he looked, SHOULD we? Sure it allows Jalen to shine, but does it compromise the remainder of the UNIT? And that's what the defense is, an UNIT. Again, a scheme can be tweaked more to highlight his skills, whether it should given the remainder of the personnel is the question.

2. There is no way one call should make you want to demand a trade. This is about something else.
3. Him requesting a trade, to me says he no longer wants to be here. That means he does not want to be around this staff, but more importantly, to me it says he no longer wants to go to war with Campbell, Jack, Yan so on and so forth. And to me that's the larger issue.


I would prefer to be a team with Ramsey than without. But given all of that, if they can find a great deal, ship him out. It's going to be something else every time. But the real issue is he just doesn't want to be here, especially after NOT getting the extension when he wanted it. He's a competitor and he wants to win. I think every guy in that locker room wants to win, but I don't see them doing what Jalen is doing and I don't see them requesting trades.

Ramsey's antics can be tiring, but dude is a straight baller. And the coaches on these team are nothing special and likely to be gone anyway after this year.

The front office wants to play hard ball with good players and extend Bortles...
