The point is, it's embarrassing to compare him to any of them. By his standards you could say Blaine Gabbert is like Tom Brady because he's closer to him than he is Vick, RG3, and EJ Manuel.

Who the heck cares who he is closest to when he isn't actually close to any of them? That's what we are saying. Get it through your head instead of bashing it on the same wall over and over. I don't live close to Florida at all, but when you compare Florida, Italy, China, and Brazil I live close to Florida. Does that make Kentucky close to Florida. To you, yes. To everyone with a brain that isn't on here purely to argue, no it isn't.

I wasn't either I have just seen a lot of documentaries, videos, and stuff on him.  When he retired he was NFL all time leading passer and rusher for a QB and now his is in the HOF.

Personally, I don't think that Manziel will translate well into the NFL.  Can he succeed in the NFL?  Sure.  If we had a Franchise QB right now, I'd be for drafting him if he was available with our second pick, as the potential QB of the future.  But with Blaine Gabbert as our QB, I'm not totally sold on him, and wouldn't want to rely on him being the future of the team.

I think so, I think its a boom or bust.  I would say its a risky pick but I think he will be a top QB in the NFL.  Its just risky.  If he does pan out in the NFL boy will he be fun to watch.  I think he will need to play behind a better oline than what we have here right now.

After watching all his games this season I'm starting to believe. i didnt believe the hype last season because i barely watched him play. but he just keeps doing it and with his crappy defense behind him he rallys his team and carries them on his back. Its exciting watching him play. He has the "it" factor it seems and a very good leader on the field. he just needs to improve his arm strength and settle down with the fame, hes letting it go to his head.

I think he'll impress a lot of people, and be fun to watch in college.  Then in the NFL his chance of success depends on a lot of things.  And that concerns me as far as taking him in round 2 as the go-to QB goes.  I think he goes to a team with an aging QB.  Maybe Arizona or Dallas.

with all the new rules protecting the offense, i dont think tankerton would get killed. sure players are faster and stronger but physicality of the game are slowly getting pushed out. it was more dangerous to play then than now and tankerton seemed like he dominated.

This Tarkenton would of done just fine in todays game.  Back in them days there were no where near the rules on the QB there are now.  You can barely touch a QB these days.  If Tarkenton was around today he would put up better numbers than he did back then.  The rules favor the QB's way more today then they did back then, I thought that was obvious, guess not.
