I honestly thought he was going to Michigan until he committed, lol. Watching him practice for the UA All-American Game just blew my mind. I fully expect him to see the field a LOT this season with Pettway on the other side.

 

Their corner class is pretty ridiculous right now. Bama definitely needed help there. If they add Humphrey, that's just icing on the cake.

 

Tell me about it. Belue was a good slot CB, but he was getting burnt like toast way too much on the outside. Honestly, I love this class just for the OL/DL alone. Everything else has been absolute gravy, though I really wanted Kain Daub to go along with Shaun Hamilton. You guys got a really good one there.

Bo Scarborough and Dupree have been rumored to be surprise signees. Of course, that may just be wishful thinking around these parts

I want to think he sticks true to his word, but at this point I don't know. Lots of rumors going around. Jimbo was the first to offer him as a QB when everyone else recruited him as an athlete. I can't imagine his dad would let him turn his back on Jimbo at the final hour.

Three-star DB flips from Alabama to UCF

Martin Rickman: It's not often you read the phrase, "Alabama commit flips to UCF," but that's exactly what happened with three-star safety Chris Williams out of Kingsland, Ga. Williams' choice of schools was impressive -- in addition to the Crimson Tide, he also had scholarship offers from Ole Miss and Ohio State. But it seems that the Knights' Fiesta Bowl win is already paying dividends for coach George O'Leary.



This is not a huge loss for Alabama; the Tide always have an abundance of talented defensive backs, anyway. As for UCF, landing the 6-foot-2, sub-4.5 40-yard dash prospect is a great pickup.
