For those crying over missing out on the 1st pick.

Way to twist a statement around junior.  That game.  That game.

Quote:In that particular game?  The statement was made that in the Super Bowl they could have had anybody behind center and won.  And they quite possibly could have.

No way.  Chad Henne behind center, and the Broncos would have won.  Denver would have had better field position overall with Henne (who would have thrown at least one interception).  The Seahawks defense would tire out after going 3 and out too many times (of note in the Super Bowl, Jon Ryan punted ONCE.)

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

And that's your opinion. Others match mine. Know what? We'll never know.

Yep. Wilson converted some big third downs that changed the game.

Rico really said this? Like its that easy to get a top 5 defense of all time...

Quote:It's true, it is hard to get an elite QB. However, I would argue it's easier to get an elite QB than it is to get an all time great '00 Ravens, '02 Bucs, '13 Seahawks level defense. Those are super hard to get and they go away quick.
Seattle has a good defense, the best this year, but they aren't an all time defense.

They rank extremely competitively among the greatest defenses of all time statistically, and they did it in a season in which the all time scoring record was broken. I think that emphatically puts them among the all time great defenses.

Statistically? Statistically they aren't even the best in the last 3 years.

Pittsburgh was better in both scoring and yards per game in just 2011.

They are good, not an all time great.

1974 Pittsburgh Steelers Defense would laugh at Seattle's D along with 73 Dolphins which also had back to back shut outs.

The Seattle Defense is better than people gave them credit but among the greats its like at least 10th

2013 Seahawks fielded a top 5 all-time secondary for sure.

Very close to the 2010 Packers in my eyes, but the 2010 Packers secondary was insane. Nick Collins would've been a Hall of Famer along with Woodson if he hadn't suffered his neck injury

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

I don't know if it's already been said on here but all we need from a QB is to.....

Make the proper reads and adjustments...

Not be the hero on every play....

Make every snap and handoff to the HB as clean as possible....

Be confident is his play making ability....

Learn from his mistakes....

Commit himself to the film room and study hall on a more than average basis...

Develop physical toughness....

Command respect from his teammates and the huddle with consistent leadership....

It's simple as that. It's really pointless to cherry pick a QB based on his potential in the 1st or 6th round.

It's up to the coaches and Scouting Department to do their homework and due diligence.
