If Clowney and Bridgewater Are Both There at #3........
|
Quote:You don't just take a franchise QB if Clowney is the 2nd coming of Reggie White. It better be a Hall of Fame QB. Clowney can be the best defensive player in the league like JJ Watt and your team can still suck. You dont have many chances to grab a top rated QB prospect. Quote:Thanks for letting us know the future!Sorry Frailbones, I didn't know you needed me to hold your hand through this. A prospect's ceiling and floor are projections. Most people (who aren't blinded by Teddy-vision) would agree that Clowney's ceiling projects quite a bit higher than Teddy's. Take the player with the higher potential payoff.
Quote:If I'm the GM, I take Bridgewater. Clowney is a great talent. But I think it'll be easier to improve the pass rush in the second round and beyond, than it will be to be upgrade the passing attack. Dee Ford / Scott Crichton / Various others available.Kind of like we've been doing, right?
THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
Quote:Clowney, always take B.A.P , besides i think someone will trade up to get him if Houston passes on him, But i would not be mad with Teddy either.ATL will be the team trying to trade up for Clowney or they could go Robinson OL Auburn. Clowney without a moments hesitation. I've never been convinced Bridgewater is a legitimate franchise QB.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Bridgewater, We don't have to be worried about Clowney in our division anyway if he excels
Quote:Kind of like we've been doing, right? Not at all like what we've been doing. At least not during the Gene Smith years. Gene never considered who'd be available later. Just now. As evidenced by trading a future 2nd to grab Cox. Bridgewater in the 1st and someone like Scott Crichton or Dee Ford in the second, and then later Kelcy Quarles versus Clowney in the 1st and someone like AJ McCarron or Jimmy Garapollo in the second or third. Personally I'd prefer Bridgewater + Crichton or Ford (Or maybe Easley... not sure how scouts view him now) to Clowney + McCarron or Garapollo..
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Because those are Teddy and Clowney's respective ceilings, in my humble opinion. Give me Teddy. This team hasn't had a franchise qb for far too long, and I'm VERY confident that he will become a franchise qb. Come May, I think Teddy will be our pick. I would love to have a talent like Clowney, but not more than Teddy. Quote:Clowney can be the best defensive player in the league like JJ Watt and your team can still suck. You dont have many chances to grab a top rated QB prospect. You can have a top rated QB like Matt Ryan, RGII, and Eli Manning and still suck. You don't have many chances to grab a once in a lifetime type prospect.
Quote:You can have a top rated QB like Matt Ryan, RGII, and Eli Manning and still suck. You don't have many chances to grab a once in a lifetime type prospect.Didn't Peppers leave the Panthers and they didn't touch a SB?? Suh and the lions??? Lets slow down on this lifetime type prospect stuff Quote:Didn't Peppers leave the Panthers and they didn't touch a SB?? I'll slow down on the once in a lifetime prospect talk if people slow down saying that Teddy is going to be Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck, and Peyton Manning. Didn't the Panthers go to the Super Bowl with Peppers on that team, and lead by the HOF QB Jake Delhomme. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:If we're talking ceilings, would you rather have Aaron Rodgers or Reggie White? Because those are Teddy and Clowney's respective ceilings, in my humble opinion. If I agreed with your comparisons I would also take Teddy. I see Teddy's ceiling more like good Matt Schaub from a couple years ago, or Matt Ryan.
Quote:If I agreed with your comparisons I would also take Teddy.Wait till pro days when bridgewater has packed on 20 lbs You'll be clamoring for him Quote:If I agreed with your comparisons I would also take Teddy. And Clowney projects as Peppers. So would you rather have Peppers or Ryan?

Quote:Wait till pro days when bridgewater has packed on 20 lbs I don't mind Teddy. I'm a fan. You wouldn't hear one complaint out of me if we draft him. Maybe a tiny complaint if we pass up Clowney, but not a big one.
Quote:And Clowney projects as Peppers. So would you rather have Peppers or Ryan?Whoever would take Peppers over Ryan needs to have their head examined
Quote:I don't mind Teddy. I'm a fan. You wouldn't hear one complaint out of me if we draft him.I can understand, I love clowney's physical tools, I think he will be a force But call me what you want, but I feel that Bridgewater will be Rodgers/Montana esque I am not willing to pass that up to easily |
