Mack at the 4-3 end position can be just as successful

 

I think Clowney is a great talent but I need to see more from the mental side for me to put him distinctly above the rest of these guys

 

For me Bridgewater has the perfection combination of improvisation and control that makes him a natural at the position.

Personally I don't like trading back unless you can get a first rounder in the next draft or a circumstance like what happened with the Rams.  Or if you are going into a draft with only 4 picks or something outrageous like that.

I think Clowney gets knocked too much for his mental side. He watched Marcus Lattimore , who had the talent to be a first round RB before he blew both his knees. He saw that it probably ruined the rest of his career. Lattimore will probably never make the millions he thought he was.

However, there's no reason for the drop in Bridgewater's stock if he's the guy some folks are suggesting he is.  But the fact that so many are thinking he could be there at three with no good reason for him to drop... suggests he's truly not that prospect.

 

Otherwise, he'd be #1 overall, end of discussion, just like Luck was.

This is a dream scenerio for Dave Caldwell. It will give him 3 great options to significantly improve his team. If it were my decision, I would certainly see how much a team like Cleveland or Atlanta would be willing to offer. If it comes close to the R.G. 3 deal, I'd take it. The Jags aren't going to the playoffs next year, anyway, so why not grab an offer to add as many impact players as possible. I doubt the Jags will get such an offer, so my next choice is to take Bridgewater. I do expect the Jags record to improve next year so they are not likely to be in a position to select a q.b. with the potential of Bridgewater. Most experts who do this for a living believe he is the most complete, NFL ready q.b. in this class. Although it's always risky to draft a q.b. that high due to all the busts at this position they have to trust their scouts on this. This team obviously needs a franchise q.b. more than anything so Teddy would be my pick. Clowney would be tempting, but I'll take a potential franchise q.b. over a great pass rusher. J.J. Watt is amazing, yet his team only won 2 games.
