It's bittersweet. I really wanted to see Coughlin succeed here again at that level.

Tarnishes his legacy here unfortunately. But it had to be done.

Hopefully Khan figures this all out with two weeks remaining.

One could speculate that yes, if Khan had knowledge that Tom Coughlin was the reason Jalen Ramsey demanded a trade, that might be enough to do it.

Most likely the scathing letter released yesterday by the NFLPA. Khan knew that damage control was necessary immediately if there was going to be any hope of getting this roster back to being competitive.

Those last two sentences almost sounds like Dave and Doug may return. And if they are to be fired wouldn't you know by now, and wouldn't you fire all three all at once?

I can understand why he didn't fire the head coach now.  Best to wait until the end of the season.

Well, it had to happen. After the whole NFLPA [BLEEP], which was an extreme 'egg on face' situation, there would've been no excuse for keeping him anyway.

Does this mean a full house is getting cleaned out? What happens with Caldwell now, I wonder?

We'll see. I really, really hope he doesn't double down on them though. Coughlin may have had his issues.

But that doesn't excuse the lack of focus and discipline on the football field. The penalties, lack of consistency and predictable game plans are on the coaches.

Wow! Weve heard more from the playere today than we have all season.

Now Khan needs to phone Yan's agent and get the Brinks Truck ready.

No in his statement he said he had decided to fire Coughlin earlier in the fall but was waiting till after season.

I suspect the final straw was either the Ramsey situation or the infamous press conference.

Prisco just said it best. Had tons of rules that he enforced with an iron fist, but he refused to follow the rules set for him.

I thought the writing was on the wall when the whole Ramsey situation was going nuclear, and Khan made a comment about meeting with Ramsey before he was locked out of his own building - or something to that effect.

God that feels good.

I don't like the whispers about Caldwell potentially remaining but alas we will cross that bridge when we come to it
